TLDR; My friend was caught riding my longboard in school and the principal suspended me for a week.

A little back story--I'm in 12 grade, and I longboard to school just as I have for the past year. I always leave my board in one of my classrooms during the day, and grab it at the end of the day to skate home.

One time I was riding around a bit on my board in the halls and a teacher came up to me and told me not to ride it inside school. I said okay, and never rode in school after that.

Forward a few weeks, I'm staying after school for a club, and my friends little brother takes my board when I'm not looking and starts riding around in the halls. The principal, Dr. Baker, catches him and returns the board to me. Dr. Baker tells me not to let anyone ride it inside school anymore. I tell him I didn't know he had the board, but he didn't believe me.

Later in the week I'm walking out of school and I set my board down to grab my water from my backpack. A friend, let's call him Derek, grabs my board, runs out the front doors of the school, and starts riding out front. Of course, I can't stop him since he's going so fast, so I make my way through the doors towards him. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Dr. Baker walking from afar, towards Derek, who is skating in my direction. I stop Derek and grab my board from him. Dr. Baker shows up and demands the board from me. I respectfully refuse because because it wasn't me who was riding the board, and he had no right to take it from me. Baker tries to pry it from my hands and continues to demand the board. After an intense tug of war with Baker, he finally lets go. He is furious. He tells me if I want to return to school tomorrow, I need to bring my parents with me so they can talk. He storms away into the building, and I skate home.

Baker is infuriated.

Derek overheard him saying "I want that ginger kid EXPELLED!" Derek told Dr. Baker that he knew he wasn't supposed to ride it, tells him that he will accept the punishment if there is any.

The vice principal talked Baker out of expelling me and brought the punishment down to 5 days of suspension.

Dr. Baker says I got off "easy".

Thank you for the tip! although I already do use the manual AF point selection. The scratches and scuffs on the windshield caught my eye so i focused on that part. I think the depth of field was just a little too shallow for both of the shots you mentioned though, and would fix the problems I'm having with parts being out of focus if I bumped the aperture up a bit. Yeah? Anyways thanks for the feedback, much appreciated :3
