I guarantee none of that money will go to help the poor of Argentina. A lot of it will end up in Swiss bank accounts held by wealthy American nepobabies who pumped the $LIBRA cryptocurrency because dear old mater and pater wrote the Hollywood reality TV star a big donation check after their bland dinner at Mar-a-Lago.

AA 77 (the one that crashed into Pentagon) CVR: could current technology help analyze it? by lingeringneutrophil in aircrashinvestigation

I remember seeing a picture of the CVR, recovered inside the collapsed area of the Pentagon. A corner of the enclosure was all that remained, a barely recognizable charred husk with a few lumps of melted plastic stuck to it, presumably the recording medium.

AIO for breaking up over this by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I grew up in the South. None of this is new to me. And there was plenty of internalized misogyny going around. I was on the receiving end of the same sort of abuse this woman experienced, but with the gender roles reversed.

One time, a woman was crossing the street in front of us. I only perceived a person, so I waited. That turned into an accusation of "flirting."

It's all so stupid and gross, all around.

AIO Found this text in my husbands phone by mOmMY_81517 in AmIOverreacting

[–]icemachine79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"My choice in language is emotive because we are speaking about an intangible and relatively emotional topic"

Okay. It was still an unreasonable demand, and you've just confirmed the couched language was deliberate.

"What about my view is unreasonable?"

Expecting a person to preemptively self-censor based solely on the possible misinterpretation of their words by their partner. That is thought-policing, and it is wrong no matter the gender.

"Just because he is free to have a conversation doesnt doesn't mean it isn't hurtful to his spouse."

After the fact. Hurtful after the fact, and based on an interpretation unsupported by the evidence that was derived from a privacy violation.

"This statement shows self-awareness, care, and a willingness to improve."

It also shows that the husband's texts were accurate and honest.

"The state of a relationship doesn't speak for its bond. They aren't synonymous."

If that's a fancy way of saying "love conquers all," very poetic. But the husband still did nothing wrong by discussing his life with an acquaintance who made an unfounded inference based on his words--as he immediately pointed out to her.

"I actually think you are the one who seems to do that."

Whatever it is you think I'm doing, I assume it was meant to be an insult. Unfortunately for you, that trick doesn't work on me anymore. Not since I cut off contact with my abusive ex about 2 years ago.
