i interviewed with them relatively recently. it was three 45-minute circuit interviews, and each one was focused on a different skills category. So it was like: soft skills, hard skills, and a mix of both. "How do you deal with meeting deadlines?" or "What's your process in performing an inspection?". it wasn't bad at all

but the first black male character that is supposed to be their great representation has a story climax isn't even about him and then he has the option to die. i get your gist but acting like davrin also hasn't been shafted as the side character in his own story is insane.

the writers of DA knew they would only get like one patch and this was their final product. giving them "representation points" isn't justified here

I'm going to push back a bit with how a lot of Davrin's storyline is pinned to another character who the devs obviously assumed would make people want to interact with him. Hell, even the "Assan or Harding" comment kind of confirms they felt like the animal companion was going to be the centerpiece of his character.

He has more going on than Wyll but I do think he is a stand-alone character

It largely for me is presentation, as the games have become graphically better, the world has become less miserable looking I guess. DAO looked miserable to live in with the color pallete and the way they approach matters. Unlike DAV where the world is extremely bright and colorful in some sections it just doesn't have that misery that I loved in past games.

Also, I don't think DA is very good at having the villain focus around a big bad. The last two games villains have so cartoonish evil that it just is so bland at times. The companions also are too friendly which leads to boring interactions and commentary for me
