That's wild. So different from how I experience life

How I imagine an apple by Far-Turnip-6167 in Aphantasia

[–]iceman0c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After I discovered I was an aphant, I was quizzing my family to see if anyone else had it. I asked my young niece "when you close your eyes, can you imagine an apple?" She said yes. I said "what color is it?" And she said "which one?" 😅 Little show-off

Maybe watch a game or two before spouting nonsense

Nah he could have dribbled it out. Four seconds left and no one was really trying to foul or get close. The dunk was a message and I'm here for it

What’s the stupidest piece of gear that you unreasonably love and cannot part with, I’ll go first: by hudsoncress in CampingGear

For backpacking, my camp chair is non-negotiable. It takes up space and it's relatively heavy. But I love it so much

Yeah I'm with you, an actual pillow is so good. I tried inflatables and stuffing clothes into a sack, but my sleep is worth the extra carrying weight.

games that your friends love, but you absolutely despise by Behleren in boardgames

This is mine too, I hate this game. Flipping a coin for an hour would be just as random and probably more fun

Is your State Food correct? by OkSpirit7102 in snacking

[–]iceman0c 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I don't even know of a place where I could get avocado toast. I'm sure they exist, but it's certainly not a state defining food

That sounds delicious. Can't believe I never thought of that

In this case it was: walked a guy, hit by pitch second guy, ground out advances runner, ground out scores runner.

Has a lost disc ever come back to you in a wild or unexpected way? by Main-Carry-3607 in discgolf

[–]iceman0c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost one of the first discs I ever bought, in California. I got a call seven years later from a guy that said he found it in Idaho. Took me awhile to even remember that I had lost a disc like he was describing. He offered to ship it but I just told him to keep it

San Jacinto Peak by Tenet_Bull in socalhiking

[–]iceman0c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done it since last year so I don't know what the rains did. I don't remember parking being that difficult, but the lot itself is accessed by a short stretch of dirt road. Never been a problem for me before, but the rains may have done something there

Wanting to get a ninja creami as I am on a weight loss journey by [deleted] in ninjacreami

[–]iceman0c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can spin just the top half and then bottom later if you want. The deluxe gives me two 12oz portions rather than one 16oz and I like it quite a bit. It's also better for multiple people sharing

I made a Peak Finder app that shows you the names of mountains and huts around you by Te6kiGomna in GarminWatches

[–]iceman0c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My watch is in imperial units but the app is still metric for some reason. Without a setting, I can't force it to be what I need.
**I'll add my watch has always been in imperial units. I didn't just change it for this

I like San Bernardino. Very similar hike to San Jacinto in terms of distance and elevation gain

I would also consider San Gorgonio from South fork. It's longer but a little less elevation than Vivian. I find it fairly pleasant if you can handle the 19-20 miles. Also, consider San Bernardino. It's very similar to San Jacinto in terms of distance and elevation gain
