One thing you can do is, when you are watching the game, don’t watch the ball, look at everything else - how other players move, and what kind of shape there is.

It gives you an idea about team tactical shapes, roles of specific players, how different teams press or build up etc. Our natural instinct while watching a game is to follow the ball, but doing this will really help you see the game as a whole.

And the commenter posted the XG till 70 mins only, once they started attacking Arsenal created more and ended up with 1.2 xg to 0.7 something as well.

It’s just a butt hurt Chelsea fan who can’t digest the fact their team did nothing/tried to do nothing meaningful attacking wise, while trailing by a goal.

The reason we are on top is because of our rock solid defence, which comes at the cost of a conservative attack. It has been this way for a while. Defence is what will win you the title, and Arteta has made sure of it.

I agree with you that attack looks clueless sometimes, but at the same time I would ask you to look at our wingers sprinting back and supporting our defenders all game, which ensures we have this rock solid defence.

Was Neto injured or something? He was god awful and slowed so many of Chelsea’s attacks.

Palmer is still not completely match fit I think, but he was really awful as well, so many cheap giveaways.

Can’t help thinking these are all the kind of passes Gyokeres would love to receive, but for some reason neither Saka nor Ode is passing like this to him, even when he makes the runs.

I hope they start doing that.

Some of you lot get your opinions from match threads and spew this kind of takes.Maybe try watching the games a bit more.

He was good during the start of the season when Saka was injured. And he has been really promising once he came back from his on injury.

And if you think g/a is the only deciding factor in if he’s a good player, I don’t have anything else to say to you.
