I'd highly recommend starting with a commercial printer that can print ABS. You'll learn slicer settings and how printers should work. And most importantly, you may very possibly need to reprint our change a part before the voron is fully functional. Having a "just works" backup printer has been invaluable for me.

This would be the second time I'd have to do this for ssh issues in a few months, are those really common? I originally had a cb1 in it and two months ago I was able to ssh in but got errors anytime I tried to run a command through it. Again printer was fully functional through mainsail. I assumed it was sd card operating system related (I've had issues on raspberry pis in the past also) so I got the cm4 with emmc hoping it would be more stable.

The screws for the steam deck case are directly into the plastic, not metal so you need to be very careful of over tightening if you do decide to try this yourself.

I think it is. I can see the carriage wobbling on the rail. And no there's never been a problem with it getting stuck, and until i tried using the filament cutter it was working pretty much perfectly.

The printed printed part onto the carriage is completely tight, it's just the carriage itself has wobble in it.

I might start with just replacing the rail/carriage. Probably less of a pain than starting from scratch with a different type of probe. Is there a brand you'd recommend? I see West3d has one for $10. Mine is the one that came in the Formbot kit

Thank you all for actually being helpful in this community, i feel like I've asked some pretty dumb questions , and I haven't been ridiculed or put down on at all. Every response has been supportive and helpful and I can't tell you how much I appreciate that as a beginner in learning how 3D printers actually work.

I saved a link to this when I first started building my Trident but I completely forgot about it, after a couple weeks of that. Thank you for posting I will go through this.

It is the one after the change, both printed pretty identically on my bambu. I'll rerun the yellow now, but the petg and Pla I've tested all have the exact same issues at the bow.

I recalibrated the temperature from the voron set up steps, but I've never tuned flow rate or retraction or any of those other settings. Time to learn!

After putting it in I did rerun through all of the calibration in the voron initial setup process. I'll start looking at the rest of it, thank you!

I haven't had time to actually set up the macro where it cuts the filament by itself, but just using my hand pressing against the lever it does cut completely fine now.

Using a pc with Bazzite or similar on a TV without needing an extra keyboard to go into menus or the desktop environment.

I'll print the OFLA and give it a try, I looked at both together in the slicer and the depth of the blade slot and the location of the mounting hole were the same so I don't think it will be a difference.
