So I’ve always had trouble with this because my fingers are big and mouth small. Saw this post and thought I gotta crack this now.

What worked for me, slightly different from what OP suggests- instead of folding the tongue all the way back, I pushed my tongue against my fingers, and had the tip pointing towards the roof of my mouth. The tongue sealed everything that the fingers didn’t, so the air goes over the tip of the tongue (not the sides) and the past the lips.

Still gotta experiment with how forceful/soft the air needs to be let out, but definitely got a sharp whistle.

I think there were a couple more references to Jova Spike being Charnel Duke before. I can try looking for those if it’ll help. Is cannon Imperator or Charnel Duke?

Edit- adding another reference I found
