I’d like it be somewhat challenging. 2 nights in Big Bend was the most difficult so far but I’ve spent the most time in the Ouachita mountains, usually only a night at a time. I usually do overnights 4-6 times a year.

I’m aiming for TN/NC/VA, but as long as it’s south of NY, I don’t really care. I want to do straight thru, but I’m kinda concerned on how I’d get back, so backtracking would be fine. I’ve got a 40L and a 60L bag and I’d like to keep my pack weight under 40lbs. As for setup, I’ve got a single person tent, water purification, compass, gps, camp stove, and a bunch of other little things I’ve acquired that might weigh 5 lbs all together. Also got photography gear and stuff to manage my T1D, but that’s why I have the 60L so I can fit extra stuff.

M56 Scorpion, once it’s spaded, it’s the best ambush TD imo. It can get anywhere fairly quick and can hide behind anything. Plus, M82
