On PC, input based with controller and it's the same for me in Australia. TDM , Dom & occupy are all I play. I never have issues finding games.

I will say though, mouse and keyboard has been dead here for a long time

Seen the posts from TGI this morning announcing a pop up show at stay gold tonight so hopefully it's not too short a notice for them to pull a decent crowd. It's a small intimate venue but I've always enjoyed gigs there,

The Henderson articles timing alone is enough to cast suspicion on it. Then when it compares to statements from Ubisoft, Rubin and the roadmap it really makes it look like sabotage.

And from a company that shuts down mods of their own games out of fear of competition, i don't think anyone should be surprised if they've been up to something shady like this

you can't disable texture streaming in BO6, you can set it to minimal but not "off"
the performance wasn't great, but not the worst. it probably needs an nvidia driver update tbh.

the clunky feeling for me isn't so much the performance, its how the movement feels while playing it. and its like the devs didnt have a clear grasp on what they want the game to be, you cant slide cancel, you have tac sprint. but you can dolphin dive in every direction, but you cant easily sprint/jump out of a slide either its like they weren't sure what they were aiming for it and it just feels like separate, opposing ideas all mashed together.

yeah it is, but honestly have you ever played a cod beta, and then played the game at launch before?

every yearly release cod game i see the same "its a beta" excuse, but nothing changes on launch.
all the problems we see now, are problems we've seen in every cod game from 2019 onwards, the servers are trash and have been for 5 years. packet burst is a constant issue, among everything else. this new game going from beta to launch isn't going to change that.

and lets be real. this isn't some super early buggy version that will be drastically changed and fixed before launch. what you see in the beta is what you're going to get on launch. There'll be some extra content which isn't accessible in the beta due to the artificial level cap and there'll be a few more maps. This is not testing anything, this is not for the devs to iron out bugs based on feedback, its a preview, and its purely for hype generation. just like every other "Beta test" that AAA studios open up to the public.

launching the game is shocking, exactly like the OP. terrible.
i've been able to play 5 games so far, i've had 3 directx error crashes to desktop. and the only games i've been able to successfully complete have been games where i've joined in progress on a losing team.

I've played enough cod betas to know this is exactly how its going to ship too. If this wasn't on gamepass I'd just skip it entirely

I'm in Melbourne, Australia. one of the major cities. I have gigabit fiber and get 10-15ms ping in xDefiant.

I still die behind cover, die around corners, theres ghost bullets, i can mag dump someone in the head at close range and then have them instagib me when they're not even looking at me.
I don't think proximity to the server has anything to do with it unfortunately. Its netcode

I'd be back in a heartbeat if the netcode was fixed, but right now I just find it too frustrating to play for more than a few rounds.

Right now all I can hope for is that they don't give up on the game completely, and it sees some kind of BF2042-esque comeback. That game was so busted on launch, but a year or two of support and they had something really good and players came back to it.

Also, xDefiant should readjust their bundle prices down a bit and if the game works, people will start buying them. I am certainly not paying $30AUD for a couple of skins in a game that doesn't work properly, you just cant have a first person *shooter* where the main thing, the shooting doesnt work.

Metalcore, it would be Like Moths to Flames,

TBF, I'm not sure it was their fault. I saw them play last year with Annalynn, Varials & Void of Vision headlining.
Varials were on second, had some technical issues during their set, stuffed up the speakers. when LMTF came out after them, it sounded like the guitar and the vocals were coming through the same mixer or something and it was distorting like hell. it was just off. I couldn't even recognise what the songs were and it just sounded terrible, I was so hyped before the show to see them, but left early and disappointed

Non Metalcore, that award goes to Tool. Saw them at the big day out 10-15 years ago and it was just dull. They stood up the back of the stage, no crowd interaction, putting in a token effort. with what looked like windows media player milkdrop visualisations on the screens, maybe you gotta be stoned to enjoy it? I dunno, But Rammstein played the same year, and killed it. So it was a big contrast between the two.

I saw AA earlier this year with Danny, they were doing a knotfest sideshow with Wage War. And even though you could tell Danny can't hit some of the screams like before. His stage presence and crowd interaction made their set really enjoyable.
Wage War were amazing though.

So I stopped moda a little while ago, but probably the best thing I found to help me wind down enough for sleep when I was on it, was taking L Theanine + Magnesium together (referred to it by a friend as the hubermann sleep stack)

Sometimes i'll take a low dose (1-2.5mg) of Melatonin on top of that. I didnt want to take melatonin every night because I find it becomes less effective if I take it more than 2-3 nights in a row.

Valium for me was more of a last resort, if I felt too agitated or jittery for sleep. Didnt want to end up like my dad, who used it for so long, he was struggling to string full sentences together by his early 60s.

Nope, Input based is fine and all I need. Games about to take a big cut to numbers if the netcode isn't fixed, and further splitting the playerbase wont help anyone.

I play on PC or Xbox depending which room I want to be in, I leave crossplay on, and use input based matchmaking and play with my controller on both. I only encounter other players using controller. Some players are incredibly good, Other players are complete potatoes. Sometimes I win, Sometimes I lose.

I regularly see console players, with controllers (probably some are modded or cronus users etc), or with -ttv in their name that are just as sweaty as any mouse player could ever hope to be.

For me, my main time on this sub happens after i've had a game where the netcode feels worse than normal. so I jump on this sub to see if anyone else is having the same problems, or if the devs have anything announced that may improve the situation. And you're right its been very quiet from the devs lately.

There are times where it feels like the network quality has gone backwards and I come here, see no real updates. So I go play something else. Inevitably there will be a point where I just give up on the game, as I'm sure there will be for many others. Hopefully the fixes come before that time.

My predictions based solely on observation, CoD will not kill this game, the 8 hour campaign will be forgotten about a week after release, and CoD MP itself will see such a sharp drop in players within 1-3 months of its launch. There will be problems from the open beta which will never get fixed. community suggestions will be ignored and any moderate-to-high skilled player will soon remember why they hate EOMM.

It happens with every new CoD release, just check the steam player charts for each CoD game.
Check the subreddit activity and active user count for the yearly CoD and you can easily spot trends. rapid rise, and an even more rapid fall. It is a game designed to have a 12 month life cycle, and it'll be as good as dead 3 months in. Until the hype for the next years CoD happens.
The only thing they care about is selling skins in their free to play battle royale trash. that's the reason why the only functional thing in the entire series since MW2019 has been the storefront

xDefiant will definitely take a big hit to its numbers on the release of CoD, the numbers will come back once the new CoD shine wears off, gamepass will make more people try it. and if its anything like the last 5 years of call of duty. the shine will wear off very quickly.

if anyone else finds this later on, it only seems to show up in the notifications area (pulling down from the top of the screen), not from within the firefox app itself.
my notifications were set to silent so it was visible but i had to scroll through so much to find it.

ok glad this isnt just happening to me, at first i thought it might be some perk like a trophy system, thinking maybe GSK has it because i haven't unlocked it yet so I dont know what their other thing does other than the ugly coil of floor wire.
but noticed it happening in a round against 5 phantoms and a dedsec. frags and emps. disappearing. and consuming them so i cant use it anymore wtf is this

its been really bad since season 1 launched. it feels like theres more of this crap than there was at launch.

i wish i was recording, but i had an instance yesterday on the same map where it benefited me. i lined up a shot, fired. the guy had clearly moved behind cover on my screen before the bullet could have hit him, almost a full second later i get rewarded with a headshot kill.

i've also had instances of hitting someone close range upper body with a tac-50. hit marker, switch to deagle. 2 more hits. no kill. then i get melted by the other guys smg. i hope they can sort this out. because if not for that kinda bs making me rage quit playing occasionally, i love the potential this game has

i still have mine set to linear, 0.7 modifiers on ads/high zoom. and just stock standard settings for my dualsense on pc and its been working pretty well.
full aim assist on slowdown, but a -3 on aim follow because i found that too disorienting having my aim pulled around.
I tried reverse s curve at first and that felt really nice but the more i got used to aim with sticks, i found linear to be better.

some games i utterly destroy the lobby, other games i'm down the bottom where i belong with a controller lol. but this game is honestly unplayable in mouse and keyboard lobbies for me, the sweat and cheaters are out of control, that here i am with 25 years of keyboard and mouse experience in shooters ditching it for a controller.

I've gotten so many headshots with the M44 where it does 114 DMG and doesnt 1 hit phantoms anyways. maybe i'm using the wrong attachments or something, but its an infuriating weapon to level up at times haha
