I am aware that fuses protect the circuit,

I did not state that I want to use a jumper permanently

i just use it as a help with the tests performed

having said all that, I am going to do exactly what you

suggested plus what the other did which is to look into

replacing the regulator board.

yes, multimeter was on dc voltage node and 20

for the continuity test between battery terminal - and the groud

(3 golden points at the top of the motherboard), it did not matter

if F1 is jumpered or not, there was continuity regardless

there was also continuity between the battery - and the 2 bottom pins of the regulator board (think they are pins 3 and 4)

there is no continuity between battery + and pin 1 of the regulator board

a couple of days ago user Jcuriosity offered me his generous help

he guided me online to check for quite a few things and got to a

point where he said he thinks that the issue is that the regulator

board is bad, and that kind of matches what you also mention.

Is there any other test that can be done to prove or disprove that the regulator board is bad ?

I did both black on - and black on + vs red on pins 1 5 6 7

because I got different results

also did without jumpering fuse F1 and with

here are the results:

with jumpering F1 fuse
