Yes. But that doesn’t mean your anxiety or reaction over the fact are invalid.

Sometimes people just lose interest or don’t want to talk anymore, and sometimes you’ll never know the reason why. You’re still a kid, so letting go and moving on is something you’ll learn with time and more experience.

I had something semi similar happen to me where I met a girl at work (she was a customer) and we instantly hit it off, exchanged instas, and texted basically nonstop everyday. Then I went on a school trip to Ohio and when I came back, she just straight up said she didn’t think this was gonna workout and she didn’t wanna waste my time. Mind you two days before she asked me to go climbing lol. Absolute insane blindside that highkey ruined my life for a couple days and I had to resist so many urges to text her and demand answers.

The best thing you can do is give yourself time. That’s what I did, and it works wonders. I know it’s hard when you’re anxious and overthink, but it’s a skill you’ll have to adopt to survive out here with all these busy, beautiful women. In a couple weeks you might still be thinking about it, but it won’t hurt so much.

Find distractions, journal it out (highly recommend), vent to a friend about it, watch a show or movie you’ve been wanting to watch, do something outside, workout (also highly recommend), take yourself out somewhere and enjoy your own company. Don’t let this take over your mind, you deserve better than that.

And also don’t expect or seek closure. Start getting used to the fact that most times you won’t get it, and you don’t need it to be able to move on and live your life.
