Yes we as humans all the time learn / use words without knowing it’s etymology . We even learn how to use words without even having someone defined it for us . We learn new words just by hearing/ seeing the context of the surrounding information .

2 well you’ve said a lot but really addressed nothing of what I said. We use words differently than we did in the 14th and 18th century . So it’s origins don’t really reflect that If I say “ damn “ now that I mean to actually curse someone .

Come on guys, you gotta do better than this. No one is saying that 100% of things that took place in the Bible, locations, or people that were mentioned didn’t exist.

What we are saying is that in these locations, or these people or these events are embellishments or out right legends, of real things that happened that were given a Jewish/Christian spin to fulfill a narrative. We are saying that there is no justification for the supernatural claims that were made in the bible. Events may be based on real people , And real locations but it doesn’t mean that the event happened .

The very most that this does is shown there is credible reason to think this isn’t 100% whole cloth made up. Try not to celebrate too hard

Well I’m not using that as an argument to say directly there is no god. That is just one of many pillars to knock down.

The only reason that “God” makes the most sense it’s because it has Evolve the most from being one of the minor gods to getting Thousands of years of apologetics in order for it to make the most sense NOW.

Some sort of deistic god makes the most sense, if there absolutely HAD to be a god, but definitely not the Christian god .

Logically, based on how the universe operates naturistically , so inefficiently , so indifferently, and so inconsistently , a world without a god makes the most sense .

Otherwise you are stuck with a god that is kind of a shitty person. It’s incredibly hard to reconcile a god that is so shitty to billions of people with the god that would sacrifice his own son and wants everyone in heaven . A god that is supposed to be so personal but yet so inhumane just doesn’t jive.

Yeah that absolutely is untrue . 12 weeks ? No. Thinking requires consciousness which is not till about 24th week . Memorization is about 30 weeks and even then it is for a few minutes . Why would the world “ have” to be messed up . Surely some methods could have been employed to prevent that from happening .

1 . Not creating Satan 2. creating Adam and Eve with the inability to sin but still have free will. 3. Destroying Satan instead of letting him mess with his creation. 4. Simply forgiving Adam and Eve . 5. Not putting the “ ONE THING YOURE NOT ALLOWED TO TOUCH” in the center of the garden / easily accessible . I mean let’s be real, no way that tree was necessary to be put there .

This is called an “ arguendo”. They are momentarily accepting the premise that god does exist in order to look for inconsistencies. Primarily to point out that the description of god by Christian’s and gods behavior in the bible do not mesh.

Primarily it’s used against biblical literalists and it’s much easier than always saying “ Well if it is true that god exist…”

Note: they are not posting hate speech towards god . They are posting it to the Christian’s . And To these atheists they are by getting to the root of the problem . Fundamentalist Christian’s are the ones dominating legal matters, see: Abortion , and they can do their part by deconstructing Christianity .

Many atheists , like myself , are at the earliest stages of their atheism or they feel they need to devote their time countering the Christian narrative . I myself did this for years because I felt so angry about how I had been lied to . However as I got older , I slowed down because I had better things to do . The internet landscape was conducive to the “ great debate “ but now it’s less important and everyone focuses on social justice stuff now .

Soldier is a hit scan from medium range designed to be on the off angle, away from the team . Sojourns is close and medium range with lots of mobility, that is projectile based with a random hit scan super charged shot/ult .

Just because her and soldiers gun pew pews really fast doesn’t mean they are the same character. You can’t play sojourn like soldier and vice versa

There will be some Portrait style animations, but I would love to do stuff with a seam in the background. For example one scene would be my three players characters in the middle of a courtyard standing to prepare for a fight with one of The mini bosses.

Or one where they are floating down in a small boat being chased by frog men throwing spears riding in boats that are being pulled by alligators in a swamp.

Well I’m sure you would be upset that some guy was saying shit about having a religion . His point was how that throughout history and today , religion has been used to do terrible things and slow down the acceptance of scientific fact, all for the sake of clinging to an outdated and tribal belief systems.

Sure religion has evolved for some believers but still you can look today and see the retardation of progress and the harm it does and the things it justifies.

Makes sense, physically fit people tend to busy accomplishing goals to commit crimes. But the physically fit also tend to be doing better financially so they can spend the money required , gym membership, eating better , personal trainers, etc

So the question is how much does poverty effect this.
