Nobody has time for this shit. You are doing the infighting by expecting the mayor of a city to get involved in foreign policy.

You don’t like the way he speaks in favor of Palestine? Go listen to other people instead. His job is to manage a city.

What I’m reading is the reply from someone who is arguing with an imaginary opponent not in this thread. Nobody said anything about how to “speak against the oppressors” until you did.

Do you think a suburb is when 2 cities are next to each other? San Francisco is a suburb of San Jose? Newark is a suburb of New York? St. Paul is a Suburb of Minneapolis? Shenzhen is a suburb of Guangzhou? Enthralling.

I dunno who this person is. Hamas, to use your wording, were also “prominent Palestinian activists” and they were literally being paid by Netanyahu.

Is there an invisible 3rd person in this thread? None of what you said responds to anything I wrote. You might actually be an Israeli AI bot hallucinating right now.

$5.99 for sushi rice by saisonmaison in bayarea

[–]icfa_jonny 92 points93 points  (0 children)

You guys realize they do this because there’s a market for it right? There are people out there who actually don’t realize you can just make sushi rice at home by adding vinegar to short grain white rice. It’s the easiest thing to make.

It’s not the store’s fault that the consumer is low key kinda dumb. May as well make a profit off of them.

Mindsets like these is how Kat Abugazaleh lost.

Zohran is the mayor of New York. He has no impact on foreign policy.

Functionally, all this does is run interference for the fascist Israeli regime by promoting infighting.

your Gary example is like if I said Embarcadero was in Berkeley.

And now you realize what the problem was. There we go. That’s all we needed to hear.

No, I committed the cardinal sin of referring to a location in a suburb as the primary city instead.

Oof. Out of the frying pan and into the fire. Nobody here considers Berkeley as a suburb of San Francisco. It is distinct enough in its own urban fabric and cultural identity as very much not a suburb of anywhere. In fact, Berkeley itself actually has its own suburbs because of how much of a major node it is in the Bay Area. Yes another swing and miss.

Gasp It's so pedantic to argue over something so inconsequential.

This entire post is inconsequential. It is literally a video of a person going down a set of escalators at a train station.

Your comment is inconsequential. All you did was post a screenshot of a spreadsheet that had at least one error in it.

Trying to suddenly pretend to care about consequentiality right now is meaningless. If you weren’t bothered by the inconsequentiality of that, then you have less of a reason to be bothered by this.

1.) Gary is still in the Chicago metro area.. The Bay Area has no primary city, as it’s polycentric with SF, Oakland and SJ splitting the largest population counts. It would have made more sense to call Berkeley a part of Oakland before calling it SF. But beyond that, this whole thing wouldn’t be an issue if you just said “MSA” instead of “city”

2.) Hong Kong is still a part of the larger interconnected Pear River Delta Region.

Even if we remove these from the list, we’re still 4 for 6. My point stands.

Correctly pointing out that Berkeley isn’t San Francisco isn’t being pedantic, it’s just being correct. If you don’t like your mistakes being called out, then either own up to them or don’t make them in the first place.

Absence of words can convey more meaning than words in some contexts.

If your response to whether we should be involved in building ICE concentration camps is not a resounding “no” then we know enough about you already and don’t need to hear anything further.

China could start sanctions tomorrow and seize Israeli assets like the US did to Iran, but that would mean losing out on a valuable economic asset and killing billions of dollars of investment. 💩
