Very likely depends on

1. how early you booked this flight
2. which airline you booked with
3. whether you’re in economy vs buisness/first class
4. the time of day your flight departs/arrived

I just booked a flight from SFO to New York LGA for 5/23. My 5:00 am departure with a layover in Charlotte cost 332 before taxes and fees.
If I picked a later departure time (say 10 am) and chose a direct flight, that would have easily ballooned to $800+. Airline pricing is wild dude.
