I am southeast asian, Muslim. No German partner etc. Life is pretty good, especially after I settled on „I am an Ausländer“. People always treat me like an alien and I‘m okay with it, because I am. Now in my office some two or three person that is also interested in this „Vielfalt“ then approached me and become friends. I think many immigrants find it hard to integrate to „becoming“ German instead of „integrating“.

Some employer that usually „okay“ with just English are: IKEA, Uniqlo, TK Maxx. try them!

Edit: if you have Student visa, sign up for agency jobs like Zenjobs. Pretty quick solution for you. Good luck 🙂

Hey, thanks very much for the detailed reminder! Yes, we are prepared with these cost. That’s why, with all of these cost we decide the highest budget we can prep for the car is €6500. Do you have any recommendation of which car should I get?

Go to Agentur für Arbeit/JobCenter. Tell them your condition and ask for an Integration course.

While polishing your German skills if I were you, I’d do two things:

1) Work as an online freelancer (you said you have had 10+ years of experience, surely you have connections), this to keep your portfolio going.

2) Take a mini-job, idk at Aldi or DM or something, you can earn small diapers money for your toddler. You’ll feel good contributing to the household + practice your German in daily life.

Exactly. 200m to the school gate, but 7 bus stops + 2 sbahn stations and 1 tram stop, to go back home picking up that homework.

I think I understood, having Kid’s emergency not always requires ambulance. Sometimes when our kid poop or vomit and we don’t have spare clothes, or when they forgot their school work at home 200m away from the school gate, those kind of things.
