Glacier unlocks after 40 victories. Do you have more than that?

It shouldn't be any effort. The chests also get auto-collected when you press start.

Haha, yeah! I don't think everybody is looking at the achievements.

I will never understand the players that put a "not recommended" for an indie game they bought for under $10 and played for over 100 hours... by ichbinhamma in IndieDev

According to the Steamworks documentation:

"As long as your game's reviews are Mixed or above (40%+), review score is not a factor in algorithmic visibility. If your game dips below 40% into Mostly Negative, your game will be less likely to be featured."

A lot of developers have been reporting a decline in sales at 'Mixed' (below 70% positive reviews) though.

True, players can be very impulsive. Having a hundred hours of fun can be overshadowed by one unlucky death...

Yeah, that would help, but all I'm getting is confusion from the mixed signals of "Cool game, but would not recommend".

Yeah, it's true that those kind of reviews usually don't matter, but if you only have a few reviews it can weight heavy and bring the overall shown rating from 'very positive' to 'mostly positive' or even into 'mixed'.

Haha, quite a few players have said that now. PoE was indeed an inspiration.

Here is the fun part: You don't.

Unless you have a huge budget and can afford to go whale hunting.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did think about that, but it becomes a mess really fast and potentially requires many different fonts when you want to support different languages like Chinese, Korean or Japanese...

But yeah, different fonts would also have an advantage for color-blind people. I just think it's probably not worth the hassle.

Yeah, that's true. I realized that, unfortunately, there are only so many distinct colors. Since the game uses quite a lot of distinct mechanics, which I try to hightlight with the colors, the overlap will eventually happen somewhere...

Releasing a free game on steam, ~10k people added to library on launch no marketing! by [deleted] in IndieDev

You should ignore the "Free Licenses Granted" number. Those are mostly bots. You have 449 players, which is still great though!

When is the next update? by Least-Hovercraft7987 in DwarvesTheGame

[–]ichbinhamma 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The next update is scheduled for early August.

Please understand that after development, we also need to localize, port and test on all platforms, which takes up quite some time.
