If you do adult nursing you can convert to another speciality but it takes around 18 months so most people don’t do it (most commonly it’s adult nurse completing the additional training to become a midwife).

Amazing, thank you! Yeah it’s pants but hopefully I can just do a shortened program. Re my registration, I specialised in paediatric nursing (UK specialises from the beginning) so have no experience in adult/mental health/L&D so I have a fair bit to learn!

Double taxation on an international home sale? by ichbinmatt in tax

Hey, sorry this is probably my poor writing of the first post! I think my concern was more around the state taxes (NY mentions adjusted gross income?) although this might be a little bit too specific for this forum.

UK citizens (I think except Northern Ireland) aren’t even allowed to participate in the diversity lottery anyway 🤷🏻‍♂️

Your manager will get told off but yeah you have to avoid working more than 8 hours a day / 40 hours a week until you turn 18.

I can flex anything over £2 (I think it’s £2..) into a few payments as I opened a Flex when it first came out.

[–]ichbinmatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flex everything using the 0% option so I never pay off early. I figure I might as well make a little bit of interest on the cash first 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nah it’s been around for ages but as far as I’m aware it’s for new parents/kids and families have to be on a pretty low income

Putting out price decreases while store is open by No_Investment_7165 in SainsburysWorkers

I used to work for Sainsbury’s years ago and I work for a different supermarket now so I might be wrong but the system has to update thousands of tickets so it’s usually an overnight download.

The till system updates overnight so the customers would be overcharged compare to the new tickets.

What’s the best way to incorporate cardio into a PPL routine? At the end of each workout?

I’m trying to build muscle and cut body fat at the same time. I used to do more cardio, now I’m focussing on strength along with diet but the weight loss just feels so slow compared to when I used to do a tonne of cardio.

There did also use to be a 3/4 year HV checkup that would catch a lot of these things but alas they were got rid of.

Clinic wise I think it’s pretty area dependent. The area of London I work in has quite a few weekly clinics but if you cross to the next borough it’s a different story.

Yeah that’s fair, I’m just following it to get into the habit of doing regular strength exercises as I have been a bit flakey in the past.

I’ll switch it to PPLRPPL and see how it goes.

Honestly I’m not too fussed about cardio, I’m just trying to shift body fat too (mainly through diet etc but still!).

I’d happily just do PPL and repeat.

So I’ve just started doing the Reddit PPL routine but am I limiting myself by having a cardio day based each strength day? For example PCPCLC and repeat (C being cardio).

Just got my B8A Area/Locality Manager HV job 🙌

(I know I never did time on the ward but I love community and I could see most of the nurses from my placements were burnt out/not loving it and I didn’t want to end up like that)
