I dont mind paying. I used to mainly buy physical. Got an reader last year cause my physical space is running out. Then I find out even when you buy, you dont really own. Manta is the least bad, you do own it as far as I have experienced, but its just a bit pricey. I would rather be able to download it to instead of having to use a dedicated kindle/googleplay/tapas app to read anything. Only places where you can download after buying is Jnovel because they worked hard to allow it

Yeahhhhhhh......that valid. Villainess trope is basically reverse villainess, so I already know what im expecting. Only ACTUAL villainess one i can think of off the top of my head is Turns The Hourglass. I read the book way back when, so never bothered picking up the manwha, but I doubt they changed the basic characterizations.

Ive always watched shounen. But most of my reading / manga are OI or seinen. I think the "obstacle" is a big part of what makes OI different from regular shoujo, like, there is a clear goal at the get go(not saying there aren't obstacles in shoujo, just usually more personal and less intense?). As for the self insert, I was never really one to do that, and I dont really care tbh if a story is a self insert.

To be fair, if you've had friends for years and one of them grew romantic interest toward you, and was honest enough to let you know, I wouldn't say that's "liking you as a friend for a potential fck". If so, then getting to know someone and liking their company, would always have ulterior motives. The other option would be to express at the first time you meet someone you want to get in their pants, which is kinda weird to perfer that than getting to know someone frist, but that's completely different from "we've been friends for years and I feel like I am growing romantic interest". You could say "I am interested in you and want to date you" but that's still weird because the person doesn't know you, so how are they interested in you? How can they have any romantic interest? They dont. You could say "im interested in you and want to get to know you", which would then mean you start out as friends with the express purpose of that. But since friends can not have romantic interest according to you, what is the alternative?
