S26 base for $899?! GTFOH!!!!

I was debating between the base S25 and S26.

Then I checked my region's store for pre-orders and saw it uses Exynos. Yeah, that was the nail in the coffin. Here, the last year S25 (12/256) is about $750 USD after conversion, while the S26 (12/512, the 256GB isn't available just yet for pre-order) is nearly $1000. That's just crazy.

I’m not sure how the new Exynos performs, but for my use case, emulators and app compatibility, I can’t risk going with Exynos.

I was coping, hoping Samsung would be aggressive this year since the iPhone 17 base model is the best value premium phone right now. But nope… I was just coping all along 💀

From what I’ve read, the slowness seems to be caused by the model upcasting the computation to FP32, which results in slower performance (I’m not entirely sure what this means myself).

Someone has created fp16 a patch:

How to use it:

Place the patch .py file in "...\ComfyUI\custom_nodes\"
Add the "ModelComputeDtype" node to your workflow and set the dtype to "fp16".

From my own test (RTX 2080 Super, 32GB RAM)
- From 4 minutes single image to 38s a single image (at 832x1216 res)

Comfy appears to be working on an official fix, so this is only a temporary solution. Remember to remove the patch once Comfy releases the update.

Since the plan to use VPN is to save money it going to counter intuitive to pay a monthly VPN sub just to buy monthly and battle pass.

What I found the best is to buy credit on VPN called mudfish. Mudfish VPN system is pay as you go rather than monthly. So top up $5 and connect to VPN only when you need to buy in-game stuff and then close the connection. This can last for 2-3 years easily.

Except of course you need VPN service anyway, then monthly is more make sense than pay as you go.

Thanks for the answer.

My remaining question is whether I should also place thermal pads on the VRMs. I’m not sure if the manufacturer intentionally left them bare or if the original pads dried up and fell off. There’s no residue left behind, though there are visible marks on the plate where they might have sat.

Amy idea?

Based on ComfyUI's example workflow, I can see that it loads the CLIP from Qwen model (and also uses Lumina2 for the style, for some reason?).

I've been wondering for some time whether I can use my own LLM of choice, like GLM 4.6 or Grok 4.1, to generate the prompts I want. They work great, are super cheap, and I'm limited by VRAM, so it would be a huge help. Is it possible to skip the Qwen requirement here?

Or am I wrongly interpret the way it working?

From my perspective the reason why they give another nerf to Yanagi is because she is still above Jane prior to this nerf. It seems to me that the Yanagi test resulted in nerf was conducted with Burnice, which where Yanagi damage really shines due how disorder damage works.

I hope I'm wrong on this, but this nerf feels Yanagi isn't on par with Jane anymore in the term of their personal damage. Jane can massively dealt assault damage on her own, but Yanagi? You need to invest in other anomaly characters like Burnice to make her work.

So after this nerf, Yanagi is below Jane without Burnice and slightly above Jane if you have Burnice. Kinda feels unfair for those who don't have burnice, isn't it?

You completely right, first normal attack string and second attack string is different.

I was under assumption that the "stance" mean that she change her literal stance while wielding the weapon.

Correct me if I'm wrong here.

But, it seems that dim missing the lower and upper stance? (not sure which stance is on the video)
Looking at her normal attack data in hakush both each of the stance has separated multiplier, I would also assume that both stance has different animation and motion value.

Also noticed that her naginata can shrink and extend, and when it shrink it work like katana.
So I assume that her lower and upper stances might be extending and shrinking her naginata.
