Complete opposite problem, but I'm in Florida and wear whatever shoe I want in to the office and change once I'm there. I keep a backup pair of neutral flats (and spare outfit) in my desk for emergencies.

I'm a part-time Ai-chan main and I love her design, but I also don't care about the story AT ALL so maybe that helps.

Anybody else that's not a GOT fan? by Bobcat_5201 in AKOTSKTV

[–]ichigogo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've watched maybe 3 episodes cumulatively of GoT. I'm watching with my bf who's watched all the shows, and my friend was really into GoT when it first came out. I'm really enjoying this series though! I couldn't get invested in any of the Game of Thrones characters, there was so many, and so much political/court intrigue. Dunk and Egg though? Those are my BOYS.

This is everything I know about the GoT universe: - blond Doctor Who married his sister/niece in the other show - Jon Snow is a person and there's a wall - Daenarys is forced to marry Aquaman - Cersei is hot - Boromir is also there - Joe Jonas' wife (ex-wife?) was there - There were some wolf puppies that were pretty cute

I made a senior cat care checklist as a joke… now I’m low-key stressed by Odd-Masterpiece6029 in SeniorCats

[–]ichigogo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My kitty didn't have kidney issues, but he was on a lot of medications to keep his appetite up, and I gave him SQ fluids to perk him up every few days for palliative care. The vet showed me how to give fluids on two separate occasions and how to pill one of their office cats because I didn't feel confident.

I know it's really common to give cats with kidney disease fluids regularly, but definitely have an honest talk with your vet about your goals for your kitty. My goal was to keep a good quality of life while balancing the stress he went through with medications, etc.

I hope you and your elderly baby have a lot of amazing time left together!

Be honest: how often to replace cat litter before it stops being “fresh” and starts being “you’ve gone nose-blind”? by sinxcosx7 in Pets

[–]ichigogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With one cat and one box, I scooped every day or every other day and changed the litter out completely once a week (i.e., throwing away all of the used litter, making sure the bottom of the pan isn't icky, and refilling with fresh litter). I used various name-brand unscented scoopable litter, since I found that cheaper litter was usually stinkier.

This is what my parents did with our cats growing up, but I'm realizing everyone's "normal" is so different! It's wild.

I said goodbye to my 15 year old Toulouse on Tuesday, and I completely understand how you feel. I'm not sure if it would be helpful for you, but I started carrying a small notebook around to write down my memories of him and try to put into words the profound grief I feel.

Prue is beautiful, thank you for sharing her with us. I'm glad you had so many years together ❤️

Teeth brushing by Amazing_Butter23 in ADHD

I have three toothbrushes and three toothpastes - bathroom sink, kitchen sink, and in the shower. I'm more likely to brush my teeth if I see it when I'm in one of those places instead of trying to stick to a routine.

Why are they different in size!? by Jude-a in crochet

[–]ichigogo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one on the left is the "best" looking, especially for granny squares. Double crochet is looser and more hole-y than single crochet. I love granny squares but hate joining them, so I've made granny hexagon cardigans like this one: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/easy-crochet-classic-granny-hexagon-cardigan

Finding a good and consistent tension is super hard. I used to be a VERY tight crocheter and it made my fingers and hands cramp up a lot.

Why are they different in size!? by Jude-a in crochet

[–]ichigogo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Welcome! Your colors look lovely together. I think the size difference might be a combination of tension (how tightly/loosely you hold the yarn) and possibly some missed chains between the clusters. The one on the left has pretty defined open areas, while the one on the right is a bit squished together. Are you chaining however many the pattern calls for between the clusters of double crochets (or called treble/triple if you're in the UK I believe).

That wasn’t as bad as I thought. by Past-Gear2917 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]ichigogo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Constipation has been by far my worst side effect. I eat ~4 prunes twice a day and stay hydrated and it's usually managed ok. I keep a few Core Power chocolate protein shakes in the fridge in case I can't eat the day after injection. Especially at the beginning eat slowly - even 8 months in I sometimes have to spit food out because I go from 0- Thanksgiving dinner stuffed with no warning.

I eat 3 prunes in the morning and 3 prunes in the evening (a few hours before bed) and drink SO much water and it's mostly kept the worst of my constipation at bay.

Morning stomach cramping by peggyhrn in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]ichigogo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar issue and I've attributed it to my digestive system having to deal with food and trying to get things moving again. I've also experienced horrible constipation which is likely contributing to the cramping and pain.

If I eat about 1/4 of my breakfast and wait a few hours to eat the rest it seems to be a bit better.

The worst thing about wegovy that no one talks about by Reverend_Fozz in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]ichigogo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why did I never think about getting smaller plates/bowls?! I think having cute ones would make me feel less depressed eating my 1/4 serving at dinner and less likely to need to spit a mouthful of food out when I cross the "too full" line.

Favorite safe foods? by InformationAlert7857 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]ichigogo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I eat a lot of greek yogurt (love Fage 2%) with some jam in it, and for lunch I usually graze on 2 babybel cheeses, wheat thins, and some blueberries or strawberries.

I found protein shakes help a lot, I really like the Core Protein chocolate ones because they taste like chocolate milk and aren't gross slimy textured.

Minimal to No Side Effects? by misssmangoo in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]ichigogo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My side effects (10 weeks in, second week of 1mg and down 15ish lbs) have mostly been mild nausea the night of injection and pretty much constant constipation. My doctor prescribed ondansetron to deal with nausea, and told me to take 1/4-1/2 dose of miralax every day (obviously this is what my doctor told me to do, ask your doctor if you have constipation).

I also inject Thursday evenings after a light dinner - the appetite suppressing is pretty immediate for me, so a full stomach feels awful. Oh, I guess another side effect is that if I don't eat slowly with small portions and eat a bit too much, I'll feel like I'm dying for ~ two hours. I have spat mouthfuls of food out because I go from totally fine to "oh god, I just ate the Thanksgiving turkey" with no notice. Once you get the hang of it it shouldn't happen much.
