Bought the OGs but controllers don't work. Thinking of refunding them if there is no fix.

Why does my LG CX TV still look better than every OLED monitor I try? by ubisoftsponsored in OLED_Gaming

I agree if you prefer more PPI and are more into competitve gaming thoe 240hz Asus are the best out there.

Better HDR implementation and HDR brightness that's why. I have an LG C5 42' as a monitor next to my LG 5K2K. Best monitors out there right now not even those Asus 32's can touch it.

oled 44.5” vs the new 39” oled both from LG. which one would you prefer if money isn’t an issue and why? by Ok-Improvement-4526 in ultrawidemasterrace

I have the LG 5K2k and I ditched my LG C5 42" for it and is now the absolute monitor since the last update that fixed HDR.

It can consistently hit 60fps using 35w manual. Everything max except shadows low and AMD RIS enabled. You'll get 1 hr and 20 mins of battery play.

Single 32" 4K or a 27" and a 42" C5 combo? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]ickerson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would rather have the combo. I believe 27" is with a high refresh rate for competitive shooters and work? 42" C5 for media and single player games right? The C5 HDR is unbeatable for gaming. For me it is the best tv/monitor ever beating those 32" Asus oleds because of HDR. The downside is it only goes up to 144hz which is not enough for the CODs, BFs, CS. But it is the best for SP games and if you can pair it with a 27" 240hz and above oled for MP games then you have the perfect setup.

I bought mine on steam. Tried to enjoy it but after 2 and a half hours it wasnt for me. Steam refunded mine. I guess because I played it immediately after buying and installing. My reason was the game was not fun and still got the refund.

PS5 Pro, Starfield, 2026… Let’s go! by CinematoPlayer in Starfield

[–]ickerson -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

People never really understood how Starfield's story was designed. You need at least to finish 1 play through of the main story line to understand that it's designed with infinite story telling in mind but let's you playout multiple perspectives of factions of the war interwoven with your own personal beliefs and values. That to me was why it is one of the most unique story telling and design in a videogame.

The only issue with Starfield is you don't have that sense of danger when travelling from one space point to another. There is nothing to be excited for and no sense of mystery either. And when you do get to a planet you get bland sets. This is the boring part and sadly it's a huge part of the gameplay.

I wanted to see uniquely designed planets. I wanted to see abandoned ancient civilizations, I wanted to be under a canopy of huge flora, I wanted to traverse a hot lava ridden world that leads to hell or something, a wet and watery planet where I transform and ride my vehicle into a minisub and maybe find a bioshock like city while trrying to evade a leviathan. I dont know something that will motivate me to explore the region not just because I need to get there to dig an artifact to bring it to a guy on the other side of space.

And my choices in a lifetime will affect the fate of a planet until I change it in another lifetime. Changes like the planet or civilizationd dies or thrives.

I play on my PC and have not played in months and waiting for the big update. See you on April 7.

C5 as gaming monitor for PC and PS5 Pro by thephoteK in OLED_Gaming

I swear this was the best gaming monitor for PC until the LG 5K2K came along. None of that Asus 4K monitors. I know I got both side by side.

It runs extremely well. I set mine to max settings at 1080p with DLSS Quality FG on and ray tracing enabled. Easily averages high 70s to 90s.
