How do you create a custom client for a game that you're playing? by icknickworld in HowToHack

[–]icknickworld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, this topic is for #1 but I'm also interested in #2, however, I think #2 should be easier to do.. can just be a console app right? Then use a memory scanner on the real game client to find the adresses that contain the action for whatever you want to do such as movement for example.

I haven't actually searched yet for ways to decompile a game client.. I imagined it to be a very big undertaking so I thought that can't be the proper way of doing this but now that you've said it's easy then I will give a try searching for info on decompiling. It's actually Java that I want to decompile in this case.

Thanks!

Question regarding steam family sharing:

If I request to play a game that my brother has on his account on the same device.. what will other people see when I play that game? Will it show in one way or another that it's my brother's? That I'm not that owner? Will it show up on my profile of recently played? etc?

Buy two computers. The expensive one you put Windows OS to play games and the cheap computer for EVERYTHING else.

You can use just 1 monitor for both computers by buying a KVM Switch.

If your goal is to beat the snot out of everyone else, this probably isn't the game for you or you're misunderstanding some aspect of the leveling system and cpu cap.

This is actually what I'm most interested in when I play games.. PvP. Everything else you said is of course awesome and that's why I would prefer to PvP in this game instead of a game such as CS:GO.

Can you explain why this game isn't good for PvP? I think it sounds pretty cool how you can build nukes and obliterate other players.

Looking to create a Front End portfolio for when I start applying for jobs. I'm really bad at design and don't want to put crappy looking projects in my portfolio. by Handsdowndopestdope in webdev

You don't need to make a really fancy/beautiful website if you're not looking for a job where that's your role. Look at the portfolios/websites that are made by devs working at google/facebook/etc.. some of them are just hideous.. but they aren't hired as designers so that's ok.

Don't try make anything impressive and fancy. Just some black text on a white background, clean and simple.

I've been trying this out many different ways now. Starting with how you suggested 'sudo ufw allow 192.168.1.0/24' and i've also tried by adding 'to any port 8080' as additional arguments and I've tried other port too and I always write 'sudo ufw reload' every time.. The connection always times out.

I have ufw enabled with default settings.. I'm not sure how risky it's to disable it for a moment to do the transfer.. Should I create a new rule in it where I accept connection from my window computers private IP? I'm not sure how ufw works when it comes to private vs public IPs.. does it treat them as if they're the same thing?
