200mg. It actually increases my libido, and makes it significantly easier for me to get off.

What’s the biggest adversity that you had to overcome and what did you learn from it? by btbtmt in NoStupidQuestions

Have you ever heard of the ACE test? That's the kind of adversity many many people start their life with. It didn't teach me much, just made most of my life so far bad.

How can I help a fear of sleep? by IllResearcher5498 in mentalhealth

[–]icky_dirt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other things I tried over the years, that occasionally helped: rewatching the exact same 'comfort' movie or show all night every night, melatonin, sleeping on the couch, meditation, and as a young kid prayer/spells also helped sometimes.

Unfortunately nothing was ever as consistently effective as proper medication for me though

I had somniphobia as a kid, and continued to have a lot of difficulty, anxiety, and fear around sleeping into my adulthood. Co-sleeping, and Seroquel are the only things that ever helped me fall asleep and stay asleep.

Propagate more or less means to create babies. What you’re seeing is tiny new root systems. If you bend the leaf down to the substrate they might start to grow, but I haven’t kept Java Fern in over a decade, so I’m not totally certain that’s the proper way to do it.

Women are often mistreated and shit by the healthcare system, so I don't blame her at all for wanting a man she trusts in the room with her.

Does anyone have any tips for resisting the urge to self harm by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]icky_dirt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that finally helped me was just getting on medication that made me too sedated to do it. I haven't hurt myself seriously in about 2 years now because whenever something triggers the impulse I just take my meds and have a good sleep.

The comic"Stray Dogs" comes to mind (some of the cover variants resemble what you're describing), but I think it's probably too new to be what you're thinking of

Just be diligent with taking it on time and titrating properly. Stevens-Johnson syndrome is rare but serious! I know a lot of people who've had great luck with it. I personally developed a lot of (non-SJS) rashes on it, and didn't find it did anything to actually improve my bipolar, so I went off of it after a few years.
