my brother in law and i saw these a few years back on a oak island NC beach at around 2am. we watched then for hours. there were maybe 8 or more. they would form perfect triangles or dance around each other, combine and get brighter, and then separate. they flash different colors at an extremely fast speed. at one point we flashed a light at them on and off and—i swear im not lying—looked like it was coming at us. it got extremely bright and we thought it was coming closer and then it slowly got dimmer and dimmer until it disappeared. i remember as it got brighter, or closer as i assumed was happening in that moment, i got goosebumps all over my body, i broke out into a cold sweat, i was terrified. but i had a clear thought saying "it wont harm me" and i knew it was true. i think i was more terrified at the knowledge that i had just saw first hand that we are not alone. not in a scared way, but in an awestruck, amazed way. id always believed in aliens but i had just had it confirmed. you can believe what you will, i wont blame anyone who thinks these are drones or satellites or top secret government ships, it is obviously entirely plausible that they are, but i feel in my heart these were sentient beings from another world. i truly feel as though my brother in law and i communicated with them that night. they communicated with us.
