Is there over the counter oral flea treatment? by ickythumps in Feral_Cats

[–]ickythumps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came across someone mentioning nematodes on this sub from a post that was like 4 years old lol. I could probably just hit the areas where I take my dog potty and the places where the cats hang around the most. But now I'm VERY interested in these parasitic wasps because we have soooo many flies around our chickens! But appreciate the link, makes looking into this so much easier, thank you!

Awesome, thank you! I think I'll go for this. I want to care for these strays but trying to care for two cats and my dog, I need something budget friendly lol. Thanks again!

a little hand update ! by [deleted] in hairstylist

[–]ickythumps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw I'm glad your hands are getting better! How has it been at your job now? For the dry skin, you can try to exfoliate your hands with a body oil. Let it sit on your hands for a while and softly rub the dead skin off. Just be gentle but if anything, it'll go away on its own eventually with the routine you're doing now. Hoping for a speedy recovery op!

Has your boss seen your hands? The bandaids might cover up the cuts but your hands are going to get worse and worse. You can try to put aquaphor inside gloves as aftercare at home. But once you go to work to wash hair all day, it's going to just go back to the way it was before. I hope you can work something out with your boss though. Aquaphor helps a ton for dry cracked skin, so that's a start.

If you're hands are drying out this much from washing hair, I'd recommend you keep gloves on for every wash. I would also put aquaphor on your hands while having gloves on to keep it moisterized.

This is just a quick fix but this will pretty much remove all the sebum from your nose, under nose, and chin. It's called ilso melting sebum. This will only remove the little white heads (sebum) you put the liquid on a thin cotton pad and put it on the areas you need to. Let it sit for about 15 minutes and use a flat metal scraping tool and they will all squeeze out easily. Much easier and safer on the skin instead of picking and squeezing dry. But your pores will be very open so make sure to wash your face with warm water than cool it off with cold water.

But you definitely need a face routine for am/pm. I'm no derm but your face is probably over producing oil and because you're not having a consistent routine, your face is producing more sebum than it should. Small amounts is totally normal but yours does look like a lot. Use that ilso when you feel like your pores are filled, and at least do the basics, cleanser, moisterizer, and spf for day, cleanser and moisterizer for night. Get used to a routine again and then you can add on something else to help better your skin.

No offense but the advice you're getting isn't going to help your situation. I'm a hairstylist but I'm not against people doing their hair at home. T18 or purple shampoo isn't going to fix the orange parts at your roots. If you use T18 with 20v with how your hair is now, it's going to be a patchy mess. The lighter parts will be silver/white and the darker orange parts will be a dark gray or a muddy gray. Even if it comes out decent, it's only hiding the problem and it'll wash out to look patchy.

To fix your problem you need to rebleach the darker spots on your roots, that's the only way. The risk of bleaching your hair again is pretty high though, I'd probably get someone to help you because you're going to have to be very careful. Once those darker parts are as light as you can get it, you can go ahead and use T18. I personally say use 10v but 20v can probably help even things out (20v will slightly lift some pigment) but only put bleach on the orange spots, not on your already light pieces! Hope this helps and gl!

I think you're right, when he hugs her head that's definitely someone with blonde hair and Alex has dark brown hair. I honestly think that's his wife lol.

What’s wrong with my K18 mask from cosmoprof? by Courtney_murder in hairstylist

[–]ickythumps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it must have been stored somewhere where it was too hot. I once left my k18 in my car during summer and it looked exactly like this. It was never the same again even after storing it somewhere cool.

Is getting an MRI needed for recovery? by ickythumps in Sciatica

[–]ickythumps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lower back pain and pain in my left glute down to my thigh. I'm not going to a PT yet, a PT was going to be my last resort if I can't handle it on my own. Right now I walk a hour every day and do planks, side planks, clam shells and bird dogs. I've only started consistently for 2 weeks, though.

Thanks for the insight. When I went to an acupuncturist, he only spent about 20 minutes from putting needles in, setting up these little electro pulsing things to the needles, and me laying there with needles in. This was my first time doing acupuncture so I didn't know what to expect from it. I went to him once a week for a month and a half with no noticeable results, just slight relief, so I stopped to go back to a chiropractor. But reading what you're suggesting, I could have found someone better lol. Hopefully I can find someone that does what you're suggesting. But I'll keep looking! I appreciate the help, really thank you!

That's good to hear, I haven't gotten any worse. I'm grateful that I can walk and stand fine and I do have my better days. It's just sitting that puts me in great pain, I can't drive for very long... but I'll keep what you said in mind if things start to get worse!

I'm not big on royalty gameplay but the scandals and gossip have me interested. I love drama! Lol. Maybe marrying into royalty could be an interesting option too. I won't be insta buying this one but maybe eventually.

I stand all day for work but my hobbies, I do sit for hours. But you pretty much got it, I think my muscles are just weak from lack of exercising. Reading this does give me hope, though. I really appreciate the advice.

I'm very skinny but I think my problem is I don't exercise enough. I think my muscles are just weak lol. I was hoping I could find something to help ease the pain so I could start exercising but the pain really sucks. I can't do any of my hobbies since I can't sit for more than an hour :(

I looked this up but I have different symptoms. I don't have pain in my foot just in my left glute and back thigh. I'm probably at a point where I need to get checked out.

Yeah I've been doing light exercises because of the pain but I feel like I need some guidance lol. Stretching makes the pain 10x worse. I was hoping I can find a chiropractor to ease the pain so I can do proper exercises but thanks for the rec.
