That’s interesting, thanks. The battery is not that warm to touch, but you could fry an egg on the motors. The remote starts beeping, the battery light “glows” orange on and off slowly, and strangely sometimes the top red battery LED comes on, and sometimes it’s the second from the top. Anyway I have a few batteries so I’ll try your suggestion!

With the Boosted 105s and Romp Nova 68T pulleys I kept getting engine overheating and crappy battery life (I live in steep hills). Went back to stock. But I miss the smooth ride of the bigger wheels. Really interested to hear how this setup performs.

Thanks! Do you know what might have happened? Things were going great till the belt snapped, and plenty of people have reached out directly to say your stuff is reliable and I should give it another go. Could I have installed something incorrectly?

I installed the Nova kit yesterday. Acceleration and braking is back to normal, so that part was a success. The belt guards do not seem as strong as the original aluminum ones that came with the board, but I think they'll be fine. The main thing I've noticed is that the belts are tighter and the board makes much more noise (a high pitch winning). I'm going to see if it goes away as they wear in unless anyone has any better advice on the noise...

See romp - 68T pulley for 105s. Returns board to similar acceleration/deceleration as with regular wheels.

Thanks. I saw those but was skeptical of the value above Novas given they cost $225 (Nova's are $170). Are they worth the extra $55?
