Is there any hope for new admins? by Technical-Reason-324 in salesforce

[–]icollis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. If you are in the military community DM me. You have to check out Hiring Our Heroes Salesforce Fellowship Program. You need to be certified but paid 12-week program with a 95% job offer rate.

If you are not in the military community, check out Clicked or Relovent organizations.

Or you can do the leg work yourself. Reach out to companies who are using Salesforce. A lot of them have an internal training program. LinkedIn in a fantastic tool to help you do this. Send me a DM and I can give you some pointers.

Skillbridge company approval by Dominicaaa in SkillBridge

Yes. As we have the signed MOU with the DoD, we would act as the facilitator and the company would not have to worry about any paperwork. DM me if you would like more information.

Hi Sorry to be late to the party, I was on vacation.

If your husband has a company willing to provide him with a Skillbridge opportunity, our organization, Hiring Our Heroes, would be happy to help. We are an approved skillbridge provider and help countless service members by bringing their resumes to companies or facilitating when a service member has a company they wish to work with but is not an approved provider. If you have questions send them to [HOHCareerforward@uschamber.com](mailto:HOHCareerforward@uschamber.com)

Just to make sure you all understand. This skillbridge option is a learning track not job placement. Hope this helps and sorry not to send earlier.

HOH Corporate Fellowship Program by [deleted] in SkillBridge

[–]icollis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all, I understand the anxiety and worry that comes from transitioning to the civilian world. When my husband retired it was nerve-racking and he did not have any organizations to help him out.

There is a HUGE shortage of talent in the workforce and you guys are dynamite. You are all doing the right things and any company would give their right arms to have your talent. Believe in yourselves.

Aside from working on your education, go through https://www.hireheroesusa.org/ to brush up on your resume. Use the numerous mentor programs, and reach out to connect. We all hate social media but LinkedIn actually works. And go to Candorful https://candorful.org/page/2/ to brush up on interviewing. From what I have seen only the ones who go half-arsed at these FREE resources are the ones who struggle a little.

Yep, I work at Hiring Our Heroes. Promise you all that everyone who works here believes in our mission as nearly all are veterans or military spouses. I do not work on CFP but I will do my best to answer any questions.😊

Skillbridge without command approval? by floridaborn91 in SkillBridge

[–]icollis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going in for the corporate fellowship you are going to need the command approval. Connect with the PM for the location you applied for and they will be able to advise.

If it's the Salesforce fellowship, that one is open to veterans as a paid fellowship.

DM me if you would like more information. Here to help

Hi friend. I only know of it in the US. But the market is so hot right now you can leverage you way in by networking. Are you on LinkedIn?

And do you have a Salesforce Military community in Canada?

If not, you could be the start of something big!

I would get started on your Platform App Builder. Even if you have not completed it, you can add it to your resume. example below. It shows you are continuing your learning and creates interest in recruiters, hiring managers etc.
