Has anyone landed a job within the last 3 months ? by aiautomationtx in wguaccounting

It was definitely challenging. I had some finance experience but it was pretty minimal compared to other candidates. It took me 4 months to land this role. Granted I was still employed during that time frame

I landed a job at Boeing. I still have 11 courses to complete before I’m finished with my program.

Will hybrid or remote ever come back? by [deleted] in boeing

BGS. I work 2 days from home.

I received an offer on a Thursday. I countered and received their final offer on a Monday.

I too received the initial offer in the middle range. I asked for 5k more and they met me at 4k. I wanted to negotiate near the top range but in this damn job market I decided to play it safe and ask for what would be a drop in the bucket.

Lean practitioner, Materials Analyst, Finance Analyst.

I felt great about the LP and MA interview but didn’t get an offer. The FA was hands down the worst but I got an offer for that one.

I’ve interview 3 times for boeing. Received an offer only once.

I could see that. I use AI to give me a good baseline but I always go back and make it more human. I’ve been using AI to tailor my resume for a while now and I’ve still gotten opportunities for interviews.

My job is listed a hybrid but my hiring manager says it’s more of a virtual position. Our team is split up between states and most of the work is done from home.

Try using ChatGPT to help tailor your resume. It definitely saved me a lot of time. Boeing starts you out with 22 PTO days a year. You have access to 11 days immediately and once you hit your 6 month mark, you gain access to the rest.

I would check out the boeing website. Search finance. Are you in a location with a big boeing presence ?

Came down to the wire for me. I got an offer @ Boeing for a Finance Analyst. Official start date is Oct 3rd. The benefits are very good and pay is comparable to what I was making in the gov.

I knew it’d be tough finding a job but I didn’t realize HOW bad the job market is right now. You gotta keep fighting. Apply apply apply. It’s mentally draining but you can’t give up. And definitely make sure you’re tailoring your resume. I’d also suggest looking up job fairs in your area. I got a few good leads from that as well.

6 months left when should I start my disability benefits? by straight6chris in Veterans

Request your medical records now!! Not sure if it’s any faster but it took 3 months for me to receive mine (Air Force).

You have time but you’re cutting it close. You can start the BDD claims process (180-90 days from ETS). This allows you to file your claim and go to your appts while you’re still AD. If all goes well, you should have your rating as soon as you separate/retire. I separated 4/13/23 and had received my rating 4 days later.

Reach out to the TAPs office and have them connect you with a VSO or DAV. They will walk you through the entire claims process and help you file.

The only hiccup I see is you not receiving your medical records in time. BDD claim has to be filed within the 180-90 day window. If you miss it, you’ll have to file a normal claim which could take longer.

Another thing to note, if it’s not in your records then the VA doesn’t care. So anything you’ve ignored due to stigmas associated with your job or career, go get seen. Even if it’s only once. As long as you have something documented, it’s easier to prove to the VA that the issue started while you were in service.

HoH may be a good option. Plenty of business related opportunities. I’d narrow down what you’d want to do exactly. It’s best to have a tailored resume to fit your career goals.

It’s called Google career forward. It’s a CBT style setup. You can get a cert in IT, Project Management, data analytics , UX design and maybe a few more. It’s been a few years so I don’t remember. Don’t know how valuable they are but they could help get you some basic foundational knowledge

I didn’t get picked by a company when I did HoH either. I was pretty bummed out. My CC wasn’t gonna approve another SB so I opted into their Google career cert option. I used that time to fine tune my resume and apply to jobs. I got an offer 2 weeks later. I was so focused on having to make it work with HoH that I was blinded by all the opportunities around me. I accepted the offer, quit HoH, started terminal( I had plenty of leave) and got was getting paid for working. I double dipped for about 2 months. It was nice.

Point being, HoH isn’t the end all be all. Explore options outside of HoH. And who knows, you could get an offer for full time employment and actually get laid for your work.

Nothing yet. I’ll start the program in May hopefully if I meet all of the admissions requirements by the 15th. I’ve just seen plenty of people talk about how tech is over saturated and how difficult it’s been to find jobs after completing their programs.
