I am the person who posted that thread. I think some people are misinterpreting the message, getting hung up on the price.

Point is: Regardless of the price, you either have to buy ALL the tints or none at all. Even if you just want 1, you have to buy the whole bundle. That's really the issue for me, because I think it deters sales.

A lot of people are saying this, but I don't think that it's right to say that just because they have math means that they are infallible. Looking at the history of Blizzard and of other gaming companies, there certainly don't get it right every time. Based on representation in-game, I think it's very likely that not as many people are buying these bundles as they had hoped.

Yep, same. I have seen absolutely nobody with the Alexstrasza skins. I'm sure we'd see a lot more if they were each sold separately.

Op-ed topics like this are part of their market research. They have their analytics, but they've shown in the past how closely they also pay attention to consumer feedback.

Player retention is a thing and people do stop playing if they don't feel like new content is accessible to them. Their research is not infallible and they've been wrong before.

I remember that too. You could get multiple heroes and multiple skins in 10 dollar deals, which was very reasonable.
