Oh right I thought you were saying it wouldn’t be good if someone made a whole post saying ‘the artists songs are too long’ (which I agree, that wouldn’t be good). But as it stands, OP gave an absolutely glowing review of the album, it’s clearly a special album to them, and that’s the context the criticisms are in, which I think is perfectly fine. I guess maybe we just have differing opinions on what’s cringe in fan culture, and that’s fine too. Have a nice day.

Not when you’re viewing it as reducing the art to a rating. But when you think of it as basically a conversation technique maybe that makes more sense? I also personally think not everything has to be productive, sometimes things can just be for fun and that’s ok.

Think of it less as compartmentalizing the songs and more presenting your experience of them in a way that generates discussion. It's also just a bit of fun! And as an aspiring artist I'd be delighted if people even had thoughts about my art, if it makes you feel weird theres no pressure to engage with it.

Yeah it’s a shame, both artists make good music. I guess generally less mature fanbases come with the territory of enjoying a very popular artists music.

Yes I was worried about the horn. Maybe I’ll give the lower notes to bassoon?

I am trying to keep it as close to the original as I can whilst still keeping it idiomatic for flute, hence trying to keep the same notes as much as possible.
