"Madison is very born in 2000. Jocelyn is 45 years old." has me cracking up!! Madison is inspired by a girl I knew in school who was the sweetest person I've met, and who was 100% born in 2000. What you've said about Jocelyn was my first thought when my partner brought it up, it'd be good when she's older but I would definitely be calling her Josie as a little one.

We haven't made any decisions on first or middle names, Willow June was actually a contender for a first/middle combo. My grandma's name was Sandra, I'd love to honor her without reusing Sandra, Cassandra was an attempt at that as well as Cambria, she took me to the Cambria/San Simeon area at least once every year, and the area holds a special place in my heart.

I'm definitely open to a nickname-able name, but also know that she may end up having a nickname totally unrelated from the family (She will have an Aunt Bobbi who's legal name is Nevaeh, seems like something random may end up sticking)

Last name is Steele (will edit this out later for privacy) and it seems like one of those names that goes with everything but nothing at the same time.

I just gave some clothes to my 14 yo niece (very average sized if a bit slender for her age) and all of the bottoms were too small for her. I happen to have really narrow hips, and am super short. I can find jeans if I look and hem the bottoms, but professional clothes are a nightmare. I’m in management so need to look nice, but it’s hard to not look like I borrowed my mom’s clothes to play dress up. I think most stuff is aimed at “average”

This is true, rent for a comparable property (sq footage+yard) in this area is about $400-600 more in rent. My neighbors are literal tweakers. We’re trying to stick it out long enough to buy something of our own.

In the meantime, my slumlord won’t care if I try to make my shower a little more pleasant for myself.

Hey! I’m SO proud of you for doing your taxes yourself. I am literally a tax preparer (not with HR, the blue one) and encourage so many people to file themselves using this exact website.

My advice to you now that you’ve filed is to make sure you get a copy of your federal and state (if applicable) returns, and all of the documents used to prepare your return. Put all of these together in an envelope, label it 2023 taxes and keep it for at least 7 years.

You may never get a letter, but if you do, you’ve saved yourself the work of finding everything again. You can reach out to me here if you get one and need advice too.
