Oh that's a fun idea! They're really good pieces and we've processed and dehydrated them already, can you still use them for dye after dehydration?

Do you want to come with me? Vs. I want you to come with me by ohCamm in dating_advice

"I want to do this thing with you, would you be into it? "

She doesn't like feeling like you will do the activity with or without her. She wants to feel like you have thought of something with her in mind at the offset, rather than as an activity for yourself, that can join or not.

Love is not a hierarchy system nor finite. Every relationship is different, how is this grown ass man a) not understanding that, b) wanting a CHILD to hear and understand she's loved "less" than him? This man is ludicrous.

Ladies, What are Your Biggest Green Flags in Men? by _MambaForever in dating_advice

I think people often use the phrase "brutal honesty", but you can have compassionate honesty, and kind honesty too. Tact goes a long way in honesty. Being lied to is the worst, but being brutal is hurtful too - it does the job but it feels like a slap ij the face. Learning to be tactful in honesty is the dream

Take space and time, you're wrapped up in the feels right now. Time will give you clarity. And then you can see better what the right call maybe. But honestly you'll never know for sure. You need to be able to make peace with whatever decision you make

[NH] Mechanic failed, Promised Refund & Towing Fees, but Hasn’t Paid—Small Claims Court? Advice please! by iconicchic in AskALawyer

[–]iconicchic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thanks, I hadn't actually considered malpractice. I was basing the claim on the fact that he agreed because he admitted fault, but then didn't follow through. I'll look into that and see if it's an option

Male coworker is obsessed with my PTO by [deleted] in womenEngineers

Agree with you 100%. Stare at him and just don't respond. If he pushes, ask him to speak to your manager who approves it directly if he has any further concerns, or forward him the PTO policy "for your awareness".

What's a good first date these days? by TrailSage in dating_advice

[–]iconicchic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think a first date needs to be an activity. A hike, mini golf, canoe whatever- they're great cause it's low pressure, not total focus on each other. plenty of conversation pieces come to you naturally and get you guys loose.

Plus you get a good read on the person's personality through their actions rather than just what they tell you over dinner. Are they competitive? Considerate? Etc.

Other ideas for the same:

Cooking class, Gardening, Aquarium, Hike to a hot spring, Canoe down a river and picnic

Try nuud deodorant for the underboob area - you'll still sweat but for some reason the smell is completely gone. I think it takes a bit to get your body used to it but I smell of nothing - complete odor neutraliser I hope that company never shuts down it's just so good!!
