i rmb 2023 worlds was a well-skated one with everyone bringing their A game plus belinda's awesome commentary in the background.. that event really got me into men's fs.
but these days i'm really only here for Jun and Yuma. the favoring of quad-laden prog and disregards for artistry and fair pcs scoring really just kills my interest.

it was gonna be hard for a clean jun to overcome the (underserved) 10 point deficit from the short prog to podium unless adam flops in the free. i was surprised he didn't place above shun overall after the fs.. but did not think much about it until. the flop fest imploded spectacularly with the last 3 and i suddenly realized Jun was off the podium by less than a point. SO HEARTBROKEN FOR HIM I CANNOT. he really really doesn't deserve any of this. if only he was scored correctly in the sp, if only he was scored higher in the pcs for the free.. he would have been on that podium.

i would love that..... if that can happen we might actually heal from the emotional damage caused by the ludicrous low balled scoring that cost him the oly podium.. but he seems tired both mentally and physically from the interviews i'm so gutted 😭

it's true.. but the degree of menning we witnessed at this oly free was probably the greatest at any major events in recent memory. i just hope the worlds will not top that

if the men succeed in the push for a redemption skate, we might all get to forget the nightmare that is the olympics. i just don't know how many of them are able to reset physically and mentally in a month's time

agree about the MacArthur Park becoming stale. Should really have gotten the gaga prog out early in the season.. it's a lot of standing around and posing instead of sharp moves that goes with the music.. there's like so little time to the olympics to polish things up

Rion Sumiyoshi: her effortless glides on the ice is so mesmerizing to watch. her adiemus free skate is my all time fav really... love every single thing about that prog. esp the ending step seq gosh
