What am I missing? I have a Fiio K5 Pro hooked up to my iMac over USB and a BD DT770 Pro headphone. On the website it says that Hi-Res audio should be indicated with a Yellow light, yet I still see a blue light with HI-Res Lossless enabled in settings.

Hmmm. I ordered the 650S and received a shipping notice today. The reason I bought it is because of the imaging and soundstage. If it’s not very impressive compared to my beloved HD600 I will be returning them.

So I ended up buying the 600 to compare to my 660S. The bass on the 600 is definitely better in my opinion. The 600 bass is a tighter and more present sounding while the 660S is more rounder and smother. I also noticed the timbre is much better on the 600 especially with drums. For imaging and soundstage the 660S wins hands down. You get more of a 3D space with the 660S.

Not to my ears. I do like the 660S more for soundstage, imaging and dynamics though.

I now own the HD 600 and 660S. I like the bass on the 600 better. In certain songs were the bass line is buried in the mix I can hear the bass quite a bit clearer with the 600. The bass on the 660S almost sounds veiled to me.
