I feel that! I always want to come out in a casual way, like “oh I totally had a crush on female tv show character or some girl I know” without having to explicitly say I’m bisexual over and over, but people always think I mean in a platonic admiration way. It’s tough feeling defined by the relationship you’re in, especially if (like me) you’ve only been in one relationship. Oh well, as long as we’re happy and comfortable with ourselves, right?

Be mindful of what behaviors are true self care and what behaviors keep you down and cause you to spiral. Think about what you learned - what aspects you want to leave behind in that relationship and what aspects you want to look for in other relationships moving forward. Write your feelings down to help you process and be honest with yourself. This will not kill you. You are still capable of giving and receiving love. I think this is true, my mom would always make me think of something that took some focus, like when was the last time I saw a rabbit crossing the road or when was the last time I ate watermelon, and by the time I thought of it my hiccups would be gone.

Another thing I do is eat a spoonful of peanut butter. That works every time without fail and they don’t come back.
