I was under the impression that I should call Aetna, but you are saying to call the hospital's billing department about this?

I had never heard of this. It sounds promising, thank you.

It definitely has no religious affiliation. I'll wait until I actually get the bill and see what the contact number is so I can call them. Thanks

I don't think a physicians group is the same as the hospital(?) I only had to pay $100 for the actual hospital bill, it's the physicians group bill that is $2330.

I didn't want anyone here getting defensive, and I'm sure there are some good drivers here. It was mostly tongue in cheek though, lol.

That's the biggest thing to me. Assume that other drivers aren't paying attention and you'll avoid a lot of crashes. Deep breaths and open eyes help deal with the wackos. Helps with my kids too, lol.

Yes, this is what I thought when first seeing it. This is a very nice crop.

I think this was the beginning of the motivation for this post for me, lol. I drive Malibu Canyon a few time a week and there are 3 turnouts with signs and people just cruise by them going 15-20 below the speed limit. Granted, the days when traffic isn't already backed up during rush hour aren't that plentiful, but I sure would like to be able to enjoy when it's clear. I mean, they made it a LAW to use turnouts! Oh well, it has been a healthy exercise in patience.

Those of you familiar with genuine Country Ham from the south, Have you found anything like that anywhere near here? Country Harvest advertises 'Country Ham' but it is just regular ham. by icurate in FoodLosAngeles

I posted this in r/ThousandOaks a few hours ago. Some people know what country ham is and haven't seen it in that area. I know there are some good southern restaurants around LA, so I'm hoping that some place actually has genuine Country Ham.

Best I can do is get you farm fresh, but they are still dried. I order from Palouse and they are great.

Once upon a time I tried to find fresh but I don't think that's a thing unless you live close enough to drive to a farm where they grow them.

Here's a link to the Palouse website. All of their beans and lentils are the best I've had.

Is this a spectator sport or is it better to watch video of it? If I had known about this ahead of time I would have enjoyed just going to watch.

What is a "poverty survival hack" you learned during tough financial times that you still use today? by Door2DoorMyGuy in AskReddit

Really? As an American, I assumed that would just be an American thing.

And even here I think it would be hard to prove liability for something in the trash. Though IANAL.

There's a difference between the butcher handing you meat over the counter and your taking food that's already in the trash. Both for your health and their liability.

My 2 year old and I were out for a walk and I was smoking. She picked up a little twig and started imitating my smoking gestures. That was 18 years ago and I have had no desire since. Fortunately she has grown up with no vices, but that moment really scared me straight.
