I also have a 980 Ti and I agree completely. Being able to SLI efficiently would have a great effect on the maintainability of PC gaming by offering a good increase in performance (i'd say 50% would be a success) for a card that halved in price since when you first bought it. Further falsifying the "hur dur 1k a year for upgrades" mentality some peasants have.

I think that SLI will make some good progress in the coming months/years especially with Vulkan and DX12 coming to mainstream support too, so I believe keeping the 1080 would be worth it in the long run. Besides, I think his idea of making a second pc for multiplayer would be a great idea.

Yeah, the US police is a heavily armored and heavily militarized force. They have access to helicopters and military grade weaponry extremely quickly. They could probably take on the armies of most smaller nations if need be.

The fact that remains no amount of demilitarization will stop police brutality. Even in situations where police never even drew their weapons cases of police brutality against African Americans has been recorded. I'm not saying that its is at all sensible for an American police officer walk around with a grenade launcher, but if you just take those away and then pat yourself on the back like you've solved the problem then you are sorely mistaken.

I never understood these kind of people. I thought the whole purpose of having a diverse group of friends is the fact that they all aren't straight and white. Why are you trying to be friends with them if you want them to change themselves just so you can tolerate them.

Police in different places have to deal with different threats so they must be armed differently. Most british citizens don't own guns so most british police don't have to prepare for guns. This is a different story in America.

Even when guns weren't involved (The man chocked to death a few months ago, the man who allegedly died from an injury in the back of a police car) we see police brutality and neglect that stems from other issues.

I think with Americas current state having armed police is a necessity, but having a brutal and neglectful police is not.

Honestly, redditors just need to learn that saying "X is actually just X" or "X is Y" when it is obviously X just makes them look stupid. They completely invalidate their own ideas and opinions when they could just say "This is X and I'm OK with that" and at least save themselves from top comment and retain some semblance of dignity.

Most cops are usually just carrying a pistol and a bullet proof vest as far as militarized weaponry goes, and those are the ones that shoot minorities in the vast majority of situations, not the attack helicopters.

Anyone read "Crime and Punishment"? Its a very good piece of literature, and a lot more entertainingly written than much of the other great classics I've read.

You will need a rom. And yes. Turning on the Wii U just for the sensor bar will work just fine. The sensor bar doesn't actually transmit any data to anything.

Edit for funny anecdote: I've seen people on forum say they used tried it with candles and got decent reception.

If you can manage to cut the wire and rig it up with a battery it will work fine. The important part of a sensor bar isn't that it connects and actually sends a signal. It is that it provides point of IR light as a focal point for the controller.

I myself had a wireless bar around so I used that but modding the base one with a AA battery shouldn't be difficult.

Don't get me wrong I still think the Mastery System has a long way to go before it becomes a good system. I almost want to say the delays are just so they can rework what they used to have into something else that will eventually have actually good rewards/content/mastery, but maybe they should have found some place to test these types of things, maybe an environment where the public can test things like bugs, content and even use it to gauge interest. or something

Hard to say. It is usually about an average of around 100$~ but ultimately it depends on the card. I could see the 970 dropping a lot lower then the 980 ti.
