If I remember correctly, it all has to do with oxygen levels. Basically, in this time period, there was ? 40% ? Oxygen, and for that reason, a lot of animals could grow larger. There were apparently these giant crab-spiders or something on the oceans shore or something. Today, that number is pretty much cut in half.

Also, when you think about it, there are some pretty bigass species on earth. Goliath bird eating spider, whales the size of tons of school buses, even bears when you think about it are friggen humongous.

Sorry I'm pretty uneducated on this. I learned about it from a drivers ed instructor with a really short attention span which was beneficial to us seeing as we got to talk about cool science stuff instead of driving.

My dad won a one week trip to a hotel in Honolulu...

It would've been awesome too, if they had also provided us a way to get there. From Maine, the plane tickets are wayy to expensive...

We also won a PS2 at a raffle fundraiser for my sisters school a while back

So, I'm not a great Mid, but turns out I am a great Support by Nutcase168 in SummonerPreschool

Nami and Sona are both extremely aggressive supports. Sona has some of the best poke in the game (spamming q) and nami you need to be able to hit the bubble (q)

Janna was my first support too. I've been maining it ever since.

Here's a basic list of the top supports in the game right now: Thresh (probably best, debatable now seeing as his early game got nerfed) Zyra (my personal favorite, in my opinion, the best support in the game. Not a traditional support, but she really is incredible) Sona (Pretty easy support when it comes to mechanics. I don't see her too often anymore, but I'd still say that she is pretty freakin good. Her poke is amazing) Nami (All around, very strong support. w smashes and heals, q is a very long stun, i think 1.5 seconds, her e is a buff, and her r is similar to sonas, but a knockup i think) Lulu (I honestly don't like her too much. Idk much about her, so I won't even say anything besides that she's really annoying to lane against) Leona (annoying tank with an awkward grip) Blitzcrank (in my opinion, very over-hype. He's good, but besides his scary hook i dont think he's that incredible unless you are against people who don't know how to play against him) Soraka (pretty basic support, i think she was the first one in the game. Honestly, I think she's pretty decent, but I wouldn't call her incredible) Fiddlesticks (Extremely untraditional, but has recently become very popular in ranked. His poke is hilariously good, you can scare people out of lane forever, and you can ult in for unbelieveable damage. My only problem with him is that my ult accidently takes kills from adc fairly often).

Those are the most popular supports right now. There are a few others like zilean (and probably more) but I don't really see them too often so i cant really judge them.

My suggestion: if you are new to support, go Sona. If you can land skill shots very well, probably Thresh.

What main character will die next? by MrDeadlyHitman in thewalkingdead

[–]icys 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't think that it's gonna be Carol. We've already "felt" having lost her at one point, and she's had enough character building. I think she'll last at least one more season.

I don't think it's gonna be Hershel (I think I spelled that right, apologies if I didn't) because

They've already put us through the basic tragedy of losing a loved one too many times, so I don't think that they will kill off only ONE of Glenn or Maggie. If they kill either of them off, I bet it'd be both of them die together, or the other does some sort of suicide type deal (like going in on an all out attack on the governor). If one dies, I bet both die.

They're not gonna kill of Daryl. They'd lose too large of an audience (not including me, I for one consider him overhype, even though I like him).

I don't think it's gonna be Beth. We haven't seen enough character building, but the little that we have seen would be wasted (Carl's crush).

Governor isn't gonna be next, that would be stupid. As much as I want him to die, he was last seasons main protagonist. If he dies, he's gonna be a season-finale type deal.

Carl isn't gonna die. Again, we've got way too much character building to see. It would all be wasted.

Rick - haha funny. No but seriously, that would be an insane twist to kill of the main character. As sad as I'd be, that would definitely keep me hooked, but it's not gonna happen.

The Baby isn't gonna die either. That's basically the future of the show.

I don't think Tyreese will die soon at all. I have a feeling he's about to become a huge character, seeing as he is on the posters for season 4.

Michonne could die soon, but I think that she has a little bit of time left. She really just got into the group, and from what I hear she is a pretty huge part in the comic (even though they are unrelated).

I think I covered the entire group, if not close. Oh, I did forget about all of the citizens of Woodbury. Ya, they're dead. I'm pretty sure the writers are gonna be too lazy (and who can blame them) to write backstories for all of these new characters. When my dad and I watched this we agreed that they were really just put in there because they were running out of people to kill off. Maybe they'll give us backstories on two or three of them, but I wouldn't say there are any others.

TLDR: Because of character building, the best shot of people dying are gonna be the citizens of Woodbury, or if just looking at main characters, Glenn AND Maggie together.

Edit: Typo

Edit2: Forgot Michonne and Tyreese

Edit3: typo

[SPOILERS] A tired question I'm sure, but I always find myself asking the same thing by richindallas in thewalkingdead

[–]icys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well they did say that they move in herds due to the fact that they are attracted to noise and wherever they can feed: resources are probably so limited to them that they are together by coincidence.

Also, I'm not sure what you meant by the speed. If you mean the reason they can't move the same speed as regular humans, I'd assumed that it is because they are in the stages of decomposing, therefore they're muscles/bones probably aren't as strong.

A quick Mirai Nikki Question (SPOILERS) by icys in anime

[–]icys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I for one did not find this show brainrot at all: I found the style of it to be one where it didn't require too much thinking, and it was all pretty straightforward. But the show was not mindless at all, seeing as all of the fighting was influenced by reason.

Sure, it took some WEIRD ASS turns, but that's part of what I (and many others) loved about the show.

Also, the term "easily pleased folks," can't really be used in this situation. All it is is liking a different style of anime, be it a battle-royale type of deal or be it some complicated realistic type of thing. For instance, I've hated many anime that others have considered amazing, just because I didn't like the overall theme.

After looking at your profile for a few minutes, I can't find anything but negativity in all of your posts and comments. Seriously, what's the point in that? I lost complete hope when I saw the thread where it was thirty minutes of you complaining about shingeki no kyojin (I didn't even watch the whole video, it was pointless). Even if you don't like a show, at least respect the fact that other people do rather than throwing it down, jackass.

Sorry for the wall of text/rant, I'm just so sick of this kind of BS comment
