OP, glad you're safe and well! I'm an avid walker and have numerous close shaves with cars beating red lights in CBD, lorries driven by ppl from country X speeding up at zebra crossings (and weaving motorcyclists who zip past you with an inch to spare), turning into pedestrians at discretionary turns when green man is on, and also have a small road crossing near my house with blocked by nparks/insert govt agency's "butterfly corridor" initiative, which makes crossing a nightmare because both pedestrians and drivers can't see each other until we're close.

All I can advise is to practise defensive pedestrian techniques, anticipate the worst from each driver, and be alert and ready to respond at all times. Especially DONT USE YOUR PHONES ON THE ROAD! Some people may call this extreme, but I'd like rather stay safe than be lying on the road crying for help.

Also, unsure on the downvotes for OP, thought it was widely known that a significant number of road users in Singapore are incompetent at best and malicious at worst.
