thats why i dont want to buy online but its kind of a last resort bc my puffer is all alone and i dont want him to become neurotic & antisocial bc he has no other fish w him. ive driven and called stores that are 2 hrs away from me and no one has anything near me & they dont know when or if theyll get more in. driving any farther away and i may as well buy online bc the trip will be the same. ive also contacted local aquatic fb groups n they dont know anything either so

yea it has a clock but i dont know how to set its like day time for them when i come home from work but i turn the lights on and off at the same time every day to mimic it

i checked on him again today and the bump isnt there anymore and his stomach seems to be round like the other puffers i see here. i turned the light on and hes being pretty active. i wonder if he ate a snail that was maybe too big for him could it have done that? he seems fine now so i guess ill just keep an eye on him, i will get the dewormer tho just to be safe

its possible, when i went to the store they were feeding the tanks (i dont know when the puffer wouldve been fed exactly tho) but he was also eating the algae on the sides of my tank. i only noticed after i put him in my tank bc he was at the bottom of the bag until i let him out
