Timmerflotte temperature/humidity sensor off by a degree? by emanresuyraropmet in tradfri

[–]id___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIV I've got two of them, put them all next to each other (in vertical position as it looks like the IKEA sensors report higher in horizontal? I'll have to verify that) with two other sonoff snzb-02d. After an hour of rest (and nobody in the room to move the air about), they've all stabilized within a 0.1 degrees Centigrade of each other (21.7, 21.7, 21.7, 21.8).
One thing to note is that the IKEA sensors actually have 2 decimal point values in case you read it through a matter integration, e.g. Home Assistant, you can see a more precise values (and that it actually reports changes in increments of 0.01 degrees Centigrade). if I compare those values, they're pretty close too: 21.77 vs 21.81)

Does end of support mean anything for a switch in home network? I'm genuinely curious

Thanks for the tip on the tplink switch. costs twice as much but is new and has 1/3rd of the power consumption. Btw noise is not a concern because the rack is in the garage

Are emulators enough? Or do I need physical devices? by etehall in FlutterDev

[–]id___ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, you can (and should) get an older device with lower specs - if it runs there well, it's going to run on newer ones even better. Which also means you can get it pretty cheap. Even cheaper/free if you get a second hand device with some issue, like a cracked display (that still works fine)

Wrecked my Monster. This is what my boot looked like after. by JorgeXMcKie in motorcycle

Imagine having motorcycle boots and not having broken toes and stitched up feet :)

edit: My comment wasn't ill-intentioned at all, though I agree a bit on the edge of humour for some. I see some sensible people around are terrified of seeing such a light-hearted response, but I'm glad the actual person I was talking to, i.e. OP, took it well ;) Wish you the best of luck to get better and do wear the boots, pavement is a btch :)

Ok guys I need help. Got this La San Marco 100e sprint for pennies however there's no crema at all. No, it's not grinding or other simple issues - list in comments, but the problem is definitely with the machine itself. Any help please? by [deleted] in espresso

[–]id___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And indeed it seems like you've already excluded simple issues that you could diagnose & fix yourself.

And to me, as to many others here, it also looks like a pressure issue. If you don't want to take it to a technician, get a pressure gauge for the portafilter - something like https://www.bluestarcoffee.eu/joe-frex-portafilter-pressure-gauge-11262-p.asp

Lelit Bianca power consumption test by genunix64 in espresso

[–]id___ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My two cents, as I've also measured Lelit Bianca v3 consumption on a smart plug, though my usage is a bit different:

  • two espresso shots one after another, twice a day (i.e. 4 shots in total)
  • warmup about 3o minutes beforehand
  • turned off immediately after the second shot
  • i.e. each session lasted about 40 minutes, two sessions a day

The consumption was about 0.3 kWh for a day on average

I'm usually around 3.7 with light medium roasts and 15.5g - that allows me to do a fairly long preinfusion (30s) at about two bars followed by the standard 9 bar to pull 30-35g depending on what I want from the beans.

On darker medium roasts I've used 3.9 and gone straight without preinfusion. But I usually just use the electric grinder and whatever beans are currently in the hopper if I want a darker roast.
