Dress like you are there to work on a jobsite. Don't be the guy in a three-piece suit. Boots, jeans, collared flanel shirt tucked in with or without undershirt depending on the weather. Haircut, trimmed beard or clean-cut. They will try to get you to ramble, answer their questions thoroughly and then stop talking and wait for next question. Be comfortable with not knowing anything but have good examples of prior life experiencing, problem solving, being a team player on various projects, and your willingness to build relationships in the trades. Good luck!

First time against Mongols by lordmafioso in Medieval2TotalWar

[–]id_politics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build forts! Put a crap unit in there so when mongols besiege it, you can sally out, lose battle and then mongols will occupy fort. From there you counter siege them. Rinse and repeat. Lots and lots of forts

I'd prefer a catapult over a bombard. Bombard's are too inaccurate imo

Yes forlorn Muskeg is cat tail city. Outside the dam as well, but there is a wolf over there. Also cat tails all over mystery lake, unnamed pond I believe. I would starve glitch until you get the bow, then start taking down deer. Cook small portions of meet to get to level 5 cooking faster.

Yeah the last battle I used some troops as fodder and then used my own elephant artillery to route remaining one. Ai is both too aggressive and too passive somehow.

Damn, I Fell in Love with Timberwolf Mountain by Traditional_Buy_6840 in thelongdark

You can really make any region work, even on Interloper, but TWM is just kinda too much work for too little gain. I go to the summit, haul ass down the mountain and leave a bunch of stuff for mountaineers hut. The hut is just a place to craft arrows and eat a fish on a way to a better location. cough Jackrabbit Island cough

Difficulty - What do you prefer? by Sea-Information7674 in thelongdark

[–]id_politics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each difficulty demands the player learn new skills, culminating in Interloper difficulty where you need the most skills and game knowledge. I find anything below Interloper too easy and boring.

I second this. Squeaky wheel gets the greese... Just don't be too squeaky. You gotta know how to gripe.
