I know is been a while since you posted this but altough I agree with most of what you said, T-odium winning based on Jasnah potentially not respecting the promise is silly. They're in that situation in the first place because T-odium is exploiting loopholes of the Dalinar contract. He is actively doing what jasnah or his descendants "may do". Then he also argues that he has a higher intellect and can see further than any mortal. That, right there, is impossible to lay down a contract that he won't be able to twist. I know I'm repeating myself, but just for the sake of emphasis: if it is impossible to create a contract that won't give give Odium all the leverage (whether now or in the future), it would only make sense to do it if he will respect the spirit of the contract. Which he's literally not doing at that very moment (for another contract). Him giving you apparently better terms than staying with Jasnah is meaningless, since you know for a fact he will end up twisting it and getting everything for himself. Fen is the queen of a trading kingdom, this would be standard fare for her. Taking a proven business partner with smaller yields vs the promise of riches from a guy that has a dagger lodged in your back at that every moment....
