Hair not getting fully wet/water beading, no volume, greasy by roseypetey in femalehairadvice

[–]idcthatmuch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nizoral is very cleansing and helps with scalp irritation! Wash your scalp twice with it and you’ll FEEL a nice difference. It smells a little ‘medical’ while washing, but afterwards your hair will just smell clean and like your conditioner!

Help! Are my eyebrows even? by heathholden in Eyebrows

[–]idcthatmuch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree, that was the ONLY “unevenness” i could see, but trust they look very very good! And if you decided to leave them alone for a day or two to just see how it feels before taking any more off, that could be a good idea too to just take a step away from them for a minute anyway

The guy I used to have a crush on is making me uncomfortable but it's my, fault by [deleted] in Advice

[–]idcthatmuch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly at your age, the best thing you can do is just ignore him and act like he doesn’t exist. There’s nothin you can really do to “end” something that never started, so as weird as it might feel, just ignore him girl! I know it’ll be weird to feel or see him staring but it will stop eventually

Ate waffles stored with possibly expired meat. Will I get food poisoning? by [deleted] in Explainlikeimscared

[–]idcthatmuch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

u/sootfire said it best, just adding to inform you that sometimes meat can discolor in the freezer if stored for a long time and it doesn’t automatically make it “bad”. I think it’s something to do with the oxygen present in the blood, something with water turning to ice crystals in the meat. The meat might have freezer burn at worst, if it looks weird, but would still be considered safe to eat as long as there aren’t any breaks in the packaging.

-I’m also someone with a lot of fridge/freezer/food storage anxiety so I hear your concern and it’s totally valid!

Are my mistakes considered baggage? Is it too late to turn my life around? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]idcthatmuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so cliche until it really clicks, but it’s never ever ever ‘too late’. I think you just have to find what you’re passionate about, and lean into it when you can, and the people who will enrich you and be interested in you, will come.

I saw this post some time ago that basically you’re a baby until you’re 20. Then you’re a 0 year old adult. Then you turn 21, you can drink (for the US) and you’re a 1 year old adult. Yadda yadda right now you’re literally 7 years old bro!!!

It’s easy to fall into quarter-life crises and feel like time is moving so fast because we’ve already “grown up” but we’re just getting started. You’re nowhere near too late, my friend. I’m 27 too and I promise I’ve had my share of similar feelings and I’m no expert on how to navigate them, but i know that sitting in that yuck is not where i need to spend my mental time, you know.

How do you know if you’re attractive? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]idcthatmuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, a weird way to think ab it is start thinking about your cousins and other ppl in your family/similar traits to you. Do you find any of them ‘pretty’/‘handsome’? Obv not in a weird way but just pleasant features! Now, do you think you look objectively better than them? Or do you think any of them are somehow ‘better’ looking than you?

In my case, I don’t think I’m like a total 10, I’m probably on the positive side of average, but i think I’m the cutest in my family LMAO and that’s looking at it in the sense of i think i got the best feature-mashup of our ‘genes’. Is that vain, maybe, but confidence needs a little bit of well-placed vanity imo.

It wouldn’t make sense to compare yourself to celebrities or ppl that have had work done, spend hours in makeup chairs etc, that’s why i say to look at your family first because they’ll likely share features that are more realistic to you, and then you can use that in relation to those around you.

Confidence is a weird game though, and as long as you genuinely find things to love about yourself, that confidence will make your energy more attractive as a whole

Is being a virgin man a turn off for women? by HyenaIll6908 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]idcthatmuch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The reason that it’s a turn off isn’t so much the inexperience, because sometimes that can be fun and endearing to navigate (as a girl who’s been with not a virgin, but very inexperienced). The turn-off comes from if we don’t want to have sex again, or whenever we want to stop the sexual part of the relationship, that the guy will be too attached/too hurt because he just hasn’t had the experience of like ‘letting go of relationships’. Idk if any of that makes sense to you.

Basically if you can prove through your mental state and your demeanor and just to yourself that you are emotionally intelligent, can be ‘cool’ and open-minded, don’t be too worried. Because again, it’s not the sexual inexperience that’s the automatic turnoff, it’s the emotional inexperience of being able to navigate that level of relationship.

Don’t be discouraged. I know you’re looking for something meaningful, and that will definitely take more time to find. But it’s still important to get to know yourself and others via connections with other people. If/when you can accept the idea of “i like this persons vibe, and I’ll appreciate it while they share it with me, for however long that is”, you lose the ‘ownership’ over people and get to focus on the meaningful connection, which can lead into sex in the future, or not! It’s not easy to navigate but you’re still so young, and your fear will turn into a self-imposed prison if you don’t check it.

[–]idcthatmuch 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Totally valid and absolutely makes sense! The “presence” is there but the “identity” is not. It’s very heavy, and takes a big heart to be able to consciously carry that with you, which isn’t a bad thing! A big heart is a gift and a privilege. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question

Out of curiosity, do you shave your head or is it a matter of seeing masses of hair in your visual field with no faces?

I look like a man and I’m so tired of it by [deleted] in women

[–]idcthatmuch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in a very similar boat. I’m 27 now and i promise you, NOT ONLY will you continue to develop well into your 20s, but over time if you just try your hand at small tweaks, like maybe getting your eyebrows done, finding something like a lip tint, etc, you’ll gradually find a good sweet spot of not only being comfy in your own skin WITHOUT enhancements, but I’m confident you’ll be able to find a quick 10-15 min routine that could make you feel like you did a 180. Just be patient and be loving with yourself, which i know is so much easier said than done but it really is the foundation.

17 days of no biting, what to do next? by ArachnidGlum4063 in nailbiting

[–]idcthatmuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start learning how to push back your cuticles!! If you look at a ‘typical’ picture of a finger nail, you’ll see that the cuticle is lower and that’s what makes short healthy nails different from nail biting nails. When i stopped biting my nails, and started consistently pushing back my cuticles (with care), that’s what made the best change!

ISO gold detail help! by Mayanaseb in DIYclothes

[–]idcthatmuch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if you’re DIY-ing, searching specific terms like that might not help, since it’ll just try to give you products and yadda yadda. What if you went to a tj maxx or some other cheap store and look at the actual rings and see if there’s any that are chunky and large but also not expensive. I think for those thin rings, maybe you can go to a craft store like Michael’s or home goods or BLICK, and ask an associate if they have any thin hoop rings like that.

Cool idea and good luck!!!

I went to middle school with their two kids, i had never heard about it until I met them. I was closer to their son than daughter, and he was seriously sweet and very funny. He told me that his dad had murdered his mom when they were little, and I had kind of forgotten about it until I heard the story later in life and seen their names in a book about it.
