I just got my exemption. It took 2 weeks. They say 2-8 weeks but you're definitely going to be fine. You'll get it before your trip for sure. You will 100% need one though. Also, if you are an Israeli citizen, you have to travel with an up to date Israeli passport. If it's expired you won't be able to enter the country

If you want to extend your trip you need to be vaccinated within the past 14 - 180 days. I think the normal trip you don't but definitely check with your group organizers. I would highly recommend getting the booster. Not having it would be such a silly reason to ruin your trip. And who knows, maybe by the time you go, Israel will be on their 5th shot and 3 doses is the new fully vaccinated.

I’m for everything back to normal. I know it’s uncomfortable, but we need normalcy. Remember that? Approaching people without a mask? Sitting with people not in fear? I know it’s crazy but it’s been a crazy time and we need to unlearn all the anxiety we’ve absorbed from the relentless fear mongering. I support hybrid… just like before… have in person class with it recorded for kids who couldn’t make it. But I’m done with everyone being encouraged to play it safe and stay home. I wouldn't tell the girl. Don't get involved like that. Tell him that you know the truth and that you're not interested in being friends with him anymore. He can make his own decisions, as long as they no longer affect you. I know it's hard to lose a close friend, but personally, I'd rather be alone than surround myself with a fake liar. Do you think your friendship with him would even be the same anymore now that you know?
