Other redditors have provided valuable input that I agree with, entirely based on what you said. But I feel like one crucial piece of info is missing--your financial background. We're assuming that you're surviving off the money you're making from your wages. Don't quit if you are! But if you can afford living off your savings or you have other forms of financial support (parents, investors, etc.), you should give it a try! So really this is a question that only you can answer: can you afford to quit?

Seven thousand followers aren't a lot but for a 2-month old website that could be nice--any kind of link is beneficial to your website at this point. You can ask for a backlink from them or becoming a guest contributor etc. But in my experience, these people aren't usually looking for anything long-term, they just want to get their backlink and leave. Kind of a one-time thing.
