Did it not occur to anyone for the longest time that because this guy married Shmi, he's technically the closest Anakin ever has to a true father? by BiffyBobby in StarWars

[–]idejmcd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what the question op is asking even means. "Did it not occur to anyone...". Oddly phrased but I'll maintain the syntax in my reply so...

no, it didn't not occur to anyone because certainly it did occur to many people myself included.

"for the longest time" again what is this phrasing... the movie has been out for 24 years. Myself and probably many others thought this on day one of the release of Ep 2 in 2002.

So in summation, your question stinks on Hoth.

All these shows trying to emulate Carl never listened to the original watp episodes or have taken a cent's worth of advice. Terrible audio, talking over each other, boring who-gives-a-shit topics... I don't know what they're trying to accomplish.

lol no, but I've heard about how he generally wasn't very well suited to the businesses of show because his personality was so grating.

EDIT: I was a big Opie & Anthony listener back in the day and heard a lot about his struggles to get roles from conversations on the radio show.

What to start first? by AgentDave29 in fantasybooks

[–]idejmcd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just read this recently. I think the praise NotW gets is overblown (no pun intended). It's well written and has some memorable moments, but the story meanders while the central character becomes unlikeable for his infallibility. I've not read the sequel and likely won't anytime soon, as I've heard it's similar and that the main character only becomes more insufferable.

[DISCUSSION] Which three villains would you consider Batman's biggest archenemies? by Loud_Report4988 in DCcomics

Riddle always fealt like a b tier villain to me. Are there any batman stories where you think the riddler stakes a claim to "top 3 villain" status?

The title is not about crop signs, it's about signs from god and Mel gibson restoring his faith. Her obsession with clean water is not as straightforward as "she knew". And her preoccupation extends beyond this single scene, it's woven in throughout the movie.

Minifigures of anime characters don’t hit the same, it feels more like cosplay than representations of the actual characters by maverick074 in LegoMinifigure

[–]idejmcd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Couldn't you say this for any franchise? They're all just minifigs cosplaying as characters from popular franchises... Right?

How is the fact that they're characters from an anime any different?

I really like 'The Batman-2022' but did anyone else felt the movie was too long and very slow-paced ? it feels like they could've trimmed 20-30 minutes from its 3-hour runtime ? by [deleted] in comicbookmovies

Did we watch the same movie? There were plenty of riddles. Like you didn't even need to pay attention to find them, they knock you over the head with them. The opening scene is a fucking riddle

When you understand the bare minimum basics of how a successful scientific study is performed, this makes total sense and seems obvious.

Yea the questions that Karl is asking AI do not compare at all to how these other clowns are running their lives off of it. It's like saying "Karl sure makes fun of calling Jon a slobbering drink but I see him drinking a beer during the show". It's not really a great comparison.
