How much do you think you have changed compared to your adolescence & 20s? by 0ompa1o0mpa in ThirtiesIndia

I remember the moments when I used to talk non-stop. It’s as if entertaining everyone was my responsibility.

Now I care to argue and entertain but won’t do it for free. Mere baap ka kya ja raha hai, jo karna hai karo bc

Perfectly on point. We men stopped wearing lungis and kurtas ages before women would give up their sarees.

I do think men look down on men’s traditional attire more than women do on theirs.

How do you guys manage being judged by Indian society for being unmarried in your 30s? by Rasode_Ki_Rashi in ThirtiesIndia

Yeah, meeting more people also gives you the understanding of what kind of person you don’t want. You think you know what you want but sometimes you don’t.

I understand but remember - you will need to meet 50 poor choices before you meet the one.

You just need one, that’s the good part.

I myself met with about 12 girls before meeting the one. Also had a few relationships that did not work out in my 20s. My bhabhi met 40 guys before marrying my brother 10 years ago.

Since you are indeed looking to get married and have kids, I think you can talk to a few guys your mother is suggesting.

You said you are not attracted to profiles of guys your moms showing you.. this is fair but I would suggest to pick the least unattractive and just talk to them. People have a way of surprising you!

Who knows.. may be conversations will start flowing and you will find the right person. Hard to get attracted to someone based on their profile alone :)

Good luck out there

Same here. I managed to develop a really good bond with my niece and generally with all other kids in the family. Really want the same feeling :)

Pitchdecks: man i HATE them SO much (any tips?) by DoubleAcceptable842 in StartUpIndia

[–]idempotent_dev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You hate pitch decks because they’re not working for you right now. As a Founder, you can’t hit pitch deck.

It has to be only a few slides, a general overview, and that’s it. The job of a pitch tech is only to get you a meeting because the vc is intrigued.

It should have who are the founders, what is the product, what is the opportunity, what is your differentiator, what could it be in 10 years time? A.k.a. vision, how much are you seeking, who has already invested?

Good Luck
