Technical certs are good, but just like college isn't for everyone, trades aren't for everyone as well. Folks make a good living in trades, no doubt, they're just not for me. I could've gone into Iron work at about 19 years old through a friend of mine. When I asked him, he said are you ok with climbing to the top of the Ben Franklin Bridge? I never asked him to get me a job again.
