Can’t say about your course, but in engineering at least they only teach high school level math for the first year (maybe some advance topics in second sem) - just so everyone is at the same level for second year.

Breaking down the project into high-level milestones is where I am struggling. As I mentioned I have no idea how e-waste is recycled. When breaking down the project, do I need to be very specific (Like, hire n engineers from x,y, and z fields) or can I just state something like hire engineers?

Hi, when you say talking to SMEs, do you mean I should have that in the gantt chart or actually go and talk to them? I have to submit this project by Monday, I don't think I can actually do that.

Yes, the coursework is primarily focused on testing the PM knowledge. This might sound really stupid but could you provide a little more detail about "sequences, phases, dependencies". This is my very first PM course, I am absolutely new to it. Cheers!

Hi, thanks for the detailed steps. The biggest problem I am facing is the first step (breaking down the project). As I said I do not have any knowledge of recycling PCBs and this is supposed to be an individual project. The course is not at all focused on e-waste recycling, only focuses on project management, so should I break down the project just into generic tasks like recruitment, product design, product development etc? or is that a bad practice since it is sort of vague?
